You may need a transmission shop for this. Some older cars used a vac modulator to control shift time, but I don't see one listed for a 94 Tempo. Whatever Ford uses to control shift time may be faulty, or the kickdown cable to the throttle body may be sticking. It could have a solenoid inside that does what the modulator once did.
under the hood should be a dieagram on proper install follow the pictures you will need a 3/8th or 1/2 in drive ratchet for the idler pully make shore to seat the belt in all the pullys good luck cj
check the fuel system..... pump output, then test the CFI injector .... when it quits look into the CFI unit and have someone crank-it and watch for injector spray....common for injectors to go bad....hope this helps...GL
From fuse 17, 10 amp, currrent travels through white/lt blue stripe wire to the a/c switch on the a/c/heater controls.
Coming out of control panel, a pink wire goes to the clutch cycling pressure switch located on the the a/c receiver/drier.
Coming out of the pressure switch, a pink/lt blue stripe wire goes to the engine computer,a nd at the same time same color wire goes to the IRCM, integated relay control module. Mounted on driver side strut module.
I see no red/y wire in the circuit. I think you should get the pink wires going into and out of the pressure switch.
Try jumpering the 2 terminals in the connector for the pressure switch to see if the compressor comes on.
I see a red/y wire coming off fuse 18, 10 amp. It goes to the warning chime module, instrument cluster, and warning chime module and passive restraint module. It also, under the hood, goes to the speed control amplifier. That's probably where he jumped from.
