How do you change fuel filter on 2013 kia forte

There is no inline fuel filter. it has a fuel screen at the inlet of the fuel pump, it never needs to be changed unless the fuel pump is replaced.

I'll start out by saying I recently bought my 2010 Kia Forte Sedan with 20000 miles already on it. The other day the check engine light came on ... Malfunction indicator light!! Please Help!
