We go by the info in the owners manual, problem here is VW doesn't allow free downloading of the manual, so we do not have this information. You can buy the manual from any dealer.

there should be a pressure sensor on the ac line itself It's a safty feture to keep you from burning up your compressor when the 134 is too low in the lines check the connectoin to it make sure that the water didnt short it out. this would be my guess if you check all the other electrical...

You may not be full of refrigerant... There is a low pressure switch that prevents the AC from actuating the clutch, and the reason is: IF there is not enough refrigerant, you will not be able to move oil through the system and you will have major damage...so no engauge...

Get the system checked, most likely there is a leak somewhere..

Ac is not working in my 2008 Chrysler Sebring. We checked all the fuses, and tried to recharge the AC, but indicator said that the freon is full and there are no leaks. at this moment it is just bowin
Check the A/C compressor relay . Also ck the low pressure switch for the A/C system . you can unplug the low pressure switch and jump it with a paper clip to rule that out . Ck the A/C compressor fuse if you haven'y already

I have a 2001 jetta ac clutch not engaging freon pressure levels read good by pass compressor its cools good.
Check to see if the wires on the fan module are corroded. The fan module is under the battery. Easier to see from under vehicle. Also check the fuses first.

How do I reset the ac compressor in my 07 volk jetta 2.5
There is no reset, check the fuses, if the compressor is not working ,it may be due to low freon in the system, there are switches that shut compressor down when freon is low, this avoids compressor damage. the first thing to do is check to make sure the system has a full charge, if its low then recharge to correct amount and add dye this is dangerous system under high preasure, let a ac tech check the system for you. hope this helps.

2000 jetta tdi: fan blower switch is not working (blower not working) and the AC button does light or engage the compressor. checked fuses.
Have you by any chance replaced the blower motor relay?

Where is ac fuse on 2007 jetta wolfsburg edition
Hopefully it is a fuse - when the a/c goes out it's usually not a fuse... It could be the compressor, or the fan module or the pressure switch.

Here are some fuses to check:
For compressor/module
fuse #4 on panel C
fuse #16 on panel C
fuse #40 on panel C
fuse #46 on panel C
fuse #6 on panel A

For fans:
200 amp Fuse #1 on fuse panel A
50 amp fuse #3 on fuse panel A
10 amp fuse #24 on fuse panel B

Fuse Panel A and B are located engine compartment drivers side near battery. B is the top surface with low amperage fuses, A is the front surface with high amperage metal strip fuses.

Fuse panel C is on the driver's side of the dashboard - you have to open driver's door to get to it.

The smaller of the two cooling fans should be the one that actuates only when the a/c is turned on. The larger one should actuate when the engine is running.

Yes you can get a shorter belt and bypass the ac. It may be as simple as going to the parts store and tell them you have 2001 jetta no ac. Just keep the receipt.
You should also disconnect the a/c compressor connectors/wires/plugs also, try doing this before you bypass the ac first incase doing so gives you warning lights on the dash board.
Also know that the defrost setting uses the a/c so it will take longer to get the condensation off the inside of the window.
