SOURCE: transmisson car stay at 3rd gear

Thats a common issue with the TCM when is about to go out.. Once you get to 3rd gear take you foot off the pedal the if you let go of the pedal and slowly accelerate it should go in 3rd gear. You can order a unit from this site with a lifetime warranty. Good Luck and the HONDA on the road.

SOURCE: changing my shift solonoids

these are a pain the best way to remove the pan is by removing the 2 bolt from the trans mount and jack up the transmission try to sneak the pan out that way it is tight! worst case the transmission cross member needs to be removed any other way results in damage to those solenoids if you already have a broken1 to remove it there is a u shaped clip and a plug that hold it to the valve body good luck!

The gearbox must be serviced: the oil is burned and aged and the filter clogged - replace both.

1955 Ford Crwn Vic neutral switch will permit start in any gear not just neut or park. Is this a 2 or 3 speed auto transmission? will start in drive selection and only shift once witn no kickdown gear at...

A 1955 Ford would have a Ford-o-matic transmission which has three speeds forward. The transmission starts out in second gear unless you shift into low.
I am not aware of these transmissions having a neutral safety switch.
The 3 speed automatic transmissions that started in low and had a downshift to second under load were first used in the mid 1960s.

P0756 code is showing 4 times when tested, what could be the fix for this?

Here is the definition of the code.

P0756 TOYOTA Description Shift solenoid valve B is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

Transmission will not shift into high gear

The honda uses a twin solonoid pack on top of the trans. It has 2 moving mechanical valves thet stick. Either remove the solonoid pack and free up the valves or replace pack. If you have the wheels off the ground pull the plug off the pack while running in third. No power at this pack will make the trans shift into 4 th. If it shifts into high gear you have isolated the problem
