Freeland td4 05 cuts out and will not start. leave it few hours fine, why

Sounds like your alternator. To troubleshoot your alt. Turn on your car then disconnect battery both cables. If it is alternator car will die. If not could it could be batt. Check batt. for corrosion and lose cable first. Then proceed w/alt.

I disconnected negative cable in 94 Toyota Corolla and when I reconnected neg. Cable the alarm wont shut off how do I reset it or shut off because car wont start. Please help asap. Thank you

Hi..I'm gonna assume your alarm is, pursuit etc. If that's the case make sure your key is off put the remote in your hand, put on your batt cable then hit your remote it should work. If not you should have a little.disarm pushbutton inside the car. Its usually hidden on the kik panal or under dash. Hook up batt.turn on ign hit button if eiether of those don't work find out what kind of alarm and get back with me.

I disconnected my battery in 08 tundra and now it wont idle

disconecting batt resets the computer. now it needs to learn how to set everything to run again. disconnect batt for atleast 60 seconds, re atach, start car it will start and die(dont press gas) do this over and over until it idles (could take up to 10 times). by pressing the gas you make the computer think it is idling to high so it keeps turning down the idle. it will idle fine after reseting computer and starting several times without hitting gas peddle.

First thing every morn. I have to jump it off at the starter. won't work at battery. after 1st start, it will start fine all day. Battery checks out fine. It's like the power does not get to the starter...

It sounds like possible bad batt cable or connection as it takes a bit more batt power when engine is cold to crank engine. if you have a volt meter, you can check this. set to volts dc and put one lead on batt neg. post and one on engine block, crank engine, in theroy you should not see any voltage but if you do, that is whats lost in neg cable, in my exp. you will see about .5 volts if you see too much more than that, i would be looking at cable. you can do same thing on pos. side but keep in mind if you go from batt pos. to large stater pos. at stater and you have a ext. sol. like ford likes to use that your loss could be in the sol. contact as well. And under cranking mode your batt should drop to no less that 9.6 volts under load and thats tested at batt post.

My gmas 98 avenger (2.0) wont start. i bought her a batt about 6 mnths ago. it ran fine. but she let it sit for a week, now no start. batt is dead. afteri charge it wont turn or even make a sound, then...

Back to "square one" If battery was drained by a short, etc and sat for a week like that, likely the battery is now doa...Have it tested. Then start checking for source of this point everything is suspect. Put an ammeter between either battery cable and battery and start pulling fuses till draw is gone. then check system that fuse serves. Yes \, could be a bad alternator but you really should test before wasting time especially if it's not that.

Seems like a short when I hook up neg. batt. cable.

Starter power wire could be grounding out causing it to lock the starter in even if the engine is running, as well as making the cable arc at the battery. I would first trace the wire from the battery to the starter and make sure it isn't grounding somewhere. If it isn't it could be the starter going bad internally. My guess would be the wiring, especially where it bolts to the starter.
