Need help with timing marks , I'm not sure if volvo uses top dead center to set timing marks, because my are way off

all engines are set on TDC
you did not mention the engine or if it is chain or belt so this is for chain.2.8L
crank key is in line with lh cam shaft center
LH key is vertical
RH key is facing down to the left in the 8o'clock position
for belt drive engines the crankshaft mark is 12 o'clock and both cam shafts are at12 o'clock on the head and two other marks facing2oclock on the lh cam and 10 o'clock on the rh cam
It is complicated to explain but it is in the workshop manual as to how to set it up correctly

Cyl head gasket replacement on a Nissan Duke HR16 vvti engine 2015

best advice is to get a workshop manual for the engine
heads can generally be removed in car
next set the valve timing before removing the belt. check and record the position of the cam timing marks
don't move the crank after the head is pulled

The timing mark I would like to get

Valve timing or ignition timing?

There is a mark on the crankshaft pulley and marks on the engine block.

For valve timing you need the workshop manual, especially with twin overhead cams.

How do I find out if my 1999 Lanos is a twin cam or single?

you can read it in the manual, or if your familiar with the engine parts remove the cylinder head cover, you'll seethe valves and cams, then you'll know if its single or twin... but i think its a twin cam... if im not mistaken...

I have a 1999 chrysler 2.7 twin cam,timing belt off,resetting the timing,which way i point the timing marks?

take the rocker cover off and look at the cams for the timing marks ,might be a falt on the back of the cam that has to be level with the head ,also turn engine over by hand before trying to start, remove no1 plug and make sure piston is at the top

I am in need of the torque settings on a 92 cresida twin over head cam 3L for the harmonic balancer, timing belt tensioner and cam pullies.

if you call auto zone they will be able to give you the torque specs. and the pattern... or you can go to the library and look in the chilton or haynes manuals...

How to set the twin cam ,on a renault megane 1400cc after a snapped cam belt ,i had the head repaired at a shop, have all the timing tools to refit the belt and cam,s , BUT HOW TO FIT THE CAMS IN THE RIGHT...

a renault ,real euro car this one ,no problem here at all ,bring the pistons to TDC the bring back a bit so no piston is at the top ,mark it whilst its at the top with a thin white paint mark on the sprocket ,then back it down a bit .fit head because i sure the head bolts are under the cams ,then fit cams and make sure the inlet and exhaust valves are closed on no1 .no4 should be open with the cam lobes pointing down ,now look for the timing marks, they could be a lug on the cam pointing at something or a slot on the back of the camshaft that has to horizontal with the head ,or even a hole in the front pulley that aligns with a hole indent in the head that has an 8mm bolt push in to hold gear wheel in place -then when you find the marks bring the bottom sprocket back to the mark ,the actual mark is on the flywheel as i remember a special tool with a spring loaded pin to locate flywheel is used ,the fit the belt ,seem to remember a white line here on the belt that aligns with the cams a well ?? look iam old and i forget things ,then make sure you turn engine over twice on bottom pulley with a ratchet to ensure valves clear before starting -
