Did you have the computer programmed to the vehicle? Could be the reason for the no start. No lights could be the plug at the back of the instrument panel. Unplug it, then plug it back.

SOURCE: 1999 Continental will not start

Does anti-theft light come on for a sec then turn off when you turn on the key or does it flash with key on?
You said that CEL turns off while cranking, does it come back on if you continue to crank after about 8-10 seconds of cranking?
If it does not then your PCM is not seeing a signal from the crankshaft postion sensor. You can try wiggling the harness at the crankshaft postion sensor and see if it will start.

SOURCE: 1999 gmc suburban fuel pump

I had the same problem with my 99 suburban. There was a memo sent out by GM to all of the service shops that tell them when you replace the fuel pump or just desconnect it you need to replace the pigtail wiring harness that connects to the pump or it will burn up the new pump. I went through 3 pumps before I found this out after I replace the pigtail it fixed the problem.

SOURCE: 1999 GMC Suburban Wont Turn Over

It sounds like you have a security problem, I had the same thing it would fire and run for half of a second and then that was it if anything at all. Had the security system rebooted, now it starts and runs fine.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.

SOURCE: 1997 Chevy Suburban Changed fuel

There is a fuse that deals with the fuel pump circuit through the ECM. If you haven't checked it's in the fuse panel under the hood in the engine compartment on the drivers side by the brake master cylinder. I hope that you have a cover for it with the names of the fuses. The fuse you want to check will be the fuse marked "ECM B". I gave you a picture of the fuse layout but it's not a good one but I did put an arrow to the one I think it is. I pretty sure that's the one but not 100 percent because it's pretty blurry. In any case there is a fuse marked "ECM B". I would check there if you haven't already. Other than that You may have to check your wiring. There is a fuseable link at the starter you may want to check if that fuse isn't blown. I hope this helps and good luck.

My 1999 Chevy Suburban K1500 cranks; but will not start.

You have to determine whether there is no fuel supply or no spark supply. Disconnect one plug wire and ground it to the engine and crank the vehicle. There should be a visible spark and snapping heard. If spark ok check fuel pressure on the fuel rail with a guage. Should be 55-60lbs.

Have you looked at fuel pump and fuel filter? Turn key to first position and have someone near fuel tank. They should hear the pump cycle.

1999 Suburban passlock security

Not sure I am following you.
The security system is supposed to keep the engine from cranking if the correct key is not used.
The check gauge and charging light would be on until the engine starts.
You have checked fuel pressure with a gauge and you know the line is not pressurized when you crank the engine ?

1999 Suburban fuel pump relay

Did someone check the circuits for the relay to see if it is getting power from the key switch and ground from the computer ?
The computer grounds the relay for 3 seconds when the key switch is turned on to boost pressure until the engine starts.

When my 1999 Chevy Suburban is cold, I start it up and when the accelerator is depressed, the engine bogs down, and it back fires and stalls. When driving, I have to let off the accelerator and depress it...

Possibly the throttle position sensor. Easiest way to test is connect a scanner and go to real time data mode. With the key on,press the accelerator slowly and watch the throttle position change on the scanner. If it doesn't register a change when you start opening the throttle, replace the sensor.
