Engine light is always on. Dealer says it's not a problem, but I want this solved. Vehicle runs OK. Any ideas? Thank you.
Well did they tell you what the code was? They should have given you some explanation.
Thanks for your reply. This was my first ever truck and I had no knowledge of codes, and no explanation was given. Since then, I learned codes have something to do do with this, but that's as far as I got. Perhaps I should take the truck back to the dealer and get this solved- a 2 hour drive away.
Don't bother driving 2 hours. Any decent mechanic should be able to help. You might even be able to fix it yourself. I would do this Hugh. Watch the video in the link I'm going to post. There are many more videos there you can watch also. A lot of parts stores like Autozone or Advance will read codes for you for free.
