You didn't state what kind of nehicle you have, so the best I can suggest, is below the windshield outside the vehicle, there should be a small grill type cover, that goes from the drivers side to the passenger side, you'll have to look for the mounting screws, then lift off the whole cover, & you'll see the motor & what is called the transmission for the wipers, there will be metal arms which is the linkage, turn the wipers on & check the linkage to see if it's moving,
one end could be disconnected or broken going to one of your wipers, hope this helps.

Problem with the wiper on passengers side

It is possible that the wiper linkage has failed. It will be necessary to do some disassembly to gain access to the wiper mechanism to find out what has happened.

Motor that moves the windshield wiper on the drivers side of our 2000 Ponitica Montana stopped working, I have been told that this part will cost me 300.00 dollars. I can not afford that, can you help me?

If the wiper on the passengers side is working normally and only the drivers side is not working. Then it is not the motor because there is only one motor and it works both sides. What you need to do is remove the drivers side wiper and clean the splines on the wiper transmission and reinstall the wiper and tighten it down. The hardest part is usually getting the wiper off.But if yours is not moving then it should come right off.All you need is a 13mmwrench or socket to remove the nut that holds the wiper on.You can do this yourself and it will cost nothing. The usual problem is they just come loose.Hope this helps.Good luck.

This morning I turned the winshield wipers on in my 1995 Honda Accord and only the Drivers side came on. The passengers side was trying. Then all of a sudden the passengers side went up and the two got...

Hi There
It sounds as though the wiper internal wiper arm that attches to the motor has snapped under the skuttle panel, sometimes they just pop off there ball joint so it may not need replacing. The car in my profile picture did the exact same thing it was a first time for me aswell, it cracked my windsreen though so you must be a little luckier than me.

Hope this helps

Wiper arm goes off of the windshield when it is raining

Sounds like you just nee to remove them and reinstall them in the correct position. Take them off, run the wipers for one cycle until they park. Install the arms so the blade is about an inch above the bottom of the windshield.

Wiper arm not moving

Check the splines on the post where the wiper are mounts and make sure they are not rounded off. If they are intatct, remove the cowl (sheetmetal between the hood and windshield) and check the mechanical linkages that connect the wiper arms together

Erratic control panel

This is the solution if your car sometimes has unexplained water on the passengers side floor after it rains and the Blower is working erratic. The solution lies under the large black bezel/cover below your windshield wipers. Under this bezel on the passengers side is a piece of weather stripping that has fallen off. You will see it right away. If you fix this and replace your blower motor and resistor your HVAC will work correctly again. I spent a year trying to figure this out.

Just remove the bezel and check the weather strip. You will be able to see where it was by the discoloration. It falls off by poor design and allows water to seep into your blower motor shorting out the resistor and if left unchecked will smoke the blower motor also. You want to add some silicon sealant and replace the weather strip to it's original position.
As far as the blower motor and resistor it is not all that difficult to replace. You will have to lie on your back on the passengers side to get at it. It's very uncomfortable.

Good Luck !!!
