This would happen whether I used the remote or the door buttons. I noticed after the clock spring break, the horn and computer buttons on the steering wheel quit working too, also no cruise. Are the locks a coincidence or part of the overall issue because of the broken spring? Once I took the battery out of the remote, it stopped, so I changed the battery but it still did it so I removed it again to stop the nuisance of it.

It wasn't a ball joint that was replaced. It was the The steering knuckle at the bottom of the steering column, they didn't remove the steering wheel they did have the the column disconnected but when they to put it all back together, they did not have the steering wheel straight. The first time I turned the wheel when I picked it up, the clock spring broke.
ah the steering "U" joint was replaced in which case they would be turning the steering wheel to get the splines to line up when reassembling it
they were obviously not aware of the damage that excessive turning would cause the under the steering wheel and were not competent enough to align the wheel before delivery back to the customer
I would suggest that you would have a case to make them pay for all the damage and associated costs involved
