Sounds like loose battery terminals. Remove the bolts holding on the battery cables (usually 8mm for side mount, 10mm for top mount), clean the terminals with a rag or old tooth brush if there is corrosion. Tighten the cables down so they are snug. A vehicles starter draws a lot of amperage from the battery and needs a good solid connection or the starter motor will just "click". I hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Thanks for your advise, but it was done by the GM agent and the car was fine for a while, but it started doing the same again. The car do start after a while but this is very frustrating because it happens at augward times. The GMSA agents cannot solve the problem, although that the is still under Factory gaurantee."

Unit cruze hard starting, and code 79,coming heat

Found on the Internet:

"I have had my Chev Cruze 1.8 (Manual) for about 4 months now. At about 4500 km's - I got a fault codE 79 as a warning. I checked the oil out of curiosity & it had dropped to the halfway mark. When I took it to the dealer, they said there was a modification to a fuel pipe. However, after they changed the fuel pipe, I still received this error code. In the mean time, I noticed drops/lags in power, especially when driving uphill & also when using climate control. The next time I took the car in (about 8100km), I noticed the oil had dropped to almost the bottom mark. I told the maintenance guy about this & they just filled up the oil. He didn't think it had anything to do with the fault code. I haven't had the fault code reappear since then. I still haven't got a satisfactory response about the fault code (what it means) - they say that the software was updated. I was also told taht its normal for the vehicle to use oil! About 1 litre/pint per 1000 km's"

and this:

Code 79 Top up engine oil. All information is given in the Owners Manual

See this!

Chev Cruze 1 8 Manual Code E79 Cruze 1 6L 1 8L

and this:

it was happened to my car while it was only 9 th. km , and first day. "code 79"
service checked oil stick and oil sensor cable. than "code 79" signed again.

*** yA know... seems MANY people are having problems with "this sensor" and perhaps GM needs to replace or design one that is more compatible with this car engine?

Also I noted MANY COMPLAINTS about "high oil usage" ~ so perhaps this 'early warning' is better?

Error code 136 showing

Just repaired code 136 on a 2013 chevy Orlando and it was a detached ground wire on one of the starter bolts causing the fusebox relays not to energise.
