My track off light is on and my break lights do not light up when I hit the brakes. We have changed the lights and and made sure there is power going back to them. We also changed the switch under the pedal and made sure that the orange wire had power to the switch and up to the lamp fuse and still nothing. What could be going on?

Normally if any lights are on, it will kick the trac system off. first check and see if your parking brake is on. That would cause the brake light to be on. If good, you have a brake problem. If your brake pedal goes all the way to the floor you have a leak in your brake line. If not you may have a frozen caliper or your brake pads are worn down completely and need to be replaced. either way your brake system should be serviced
No. The brake warning light could be telling you there is a problem with the hydraulic brake system or the parking brake. The trac off light is saying there is a problem with the brakes or engine and the traction control system is disabled.
most times it is a sensor that is located around the brake area that needs replaced. Changing brakes will not fix abs light..ABS stands for anti brake system and has nothing to do with replacing brakes or rotors. It pervent your brakes from locking up and causing you to loose control of car. hope this helps and good luck and please rate this post....
I have a 2004 sequoia with the same problem. VSC TRAC, TRAC OFF & brake light comes on at the same time. Sometimes just the brake light and other times all three. Sometimes no lights. Does anyone have a fix?
the switch that controls the light is probably bad but what id do first is try to adjust the switch which is located under the e-brake.look at the back side of the e-brake and you should be able to see the back of the switch.
You have a bad hub bearing. 100% garunteed. The light is on because the bearing is so bad it hit the sensor for the abs & traction control , breaking it. So you're gonna need a bearing, a sensor, probably new brake pads, any seals{probably one} & a shop that can do it. The bearing is pressed in & needs to be pressed out. Heating & beating is not a good idea.
assuming you're talking about the rear brake lights not the abs warning light, it doesn't matter if your light switch is on or off, brake lights light up when you hit the brake pedal, if they are stuck on it's most likely a bad brake lamp switch which is located at the top of the arm that holds the brake pedal on, if you look up find the switch and unplug the harness, if it goes out there's your trouble
Trac is the control that doesnt let your tires spin when they are not making contact with the road. Just by having your emergency brake on will light up the trac light. It also come on with your abs. If you driving on a slick road and you jam on your brakes and the tires slide a little mine will say low track on my car.
