Check for a restriction in the fuel tank breather. Also, try taking off the gas cap when this happens. If taking off the cap fixes the problem, you need to see what is stopping the fuel tank from breathing.
if the car will not take gas at the pump and spills out when trying check the hose that goes from filler tube to the charcole canister it will be full of charcole if so replace canister
Take it to auto zone have it scanned and give us the codes then we can tell you what else it might be, it is most likey a 02 sensor or the fuel shutoff vave in the charcol canister or purge valve.
the charcoal canister has come apart and the charcoal particles have traveled thru the vent system and pluged the fuel tank vent valve in the top of the tank, after the canister is replaced, youll need to replace the canister close valve, and probably drop the tank and clean out the vent hoses and remove and clean out the vent valve also, when the canister comes apart, its a mess.
