Notes:

Site Instructions:

  1. Please note the list of automobile manufacturers at the left edge of the screen. The currently selected ODB code is for the Volvo family of autos. The codes for any particular vehicle make and model will be found under the manufacturer family, i.e. Dodge and Plymouth are part of the Chrysler family of cars and trucks.
  2. Also notice that just to the right of the manufacturer family list is a short group of OBD II codes. The highlighted Volvo OBDII code P1358 in this list is the currently selected code, and the information on this page pertains to fault code P1358. The other codes in the list above and below this code are OBD2 codes some of which may be related to the current trouble code and can be navigated to directly.
  3. Need to look up additional OBD II Trouble Codes, use the search box. Enter the 5 character fault codes in the search box and submit the search. You can repeat the search as many times as you need, one diagnostics code per search.
  4. Don't assume a particular OBD2 code means the same for other auto manufacturers as there are many manufacturer specific codes in use.
  5. If your fault codes are for a different auto family, select that vehicle series before searching for the diagnostics codes because not all OBD2 codes used by one manufacture are used by the other manufactures. The search only looks at OBD codes valid for the currently selected manufacturer family.
  6. If your automotive family is grayed out, the current OBD code, P1358, is not among those used by the current manufacturer. You can click un-gray at the bottom of the auto family list and then select the manufacturer for your vehicle before searching for your trouble codes.

What are the probable causes of DTCs P0300, P0440, C1298, and C1245?

P0300 means you have a misfire in multiple cylinders
P0440 means there is a malfunction with the Evaporative Emission Control System.

The engine will be running very rough and potentially it could stop altogether.

You need to get the vehicle to a competent mechanic to diagnose the cause of the problems because there are a number of factors that could be causing these engine problems and the fault codes that are being generated as a result. .

Obd code p0014 on isuzu ascender 2006

Its a cam over-retarded code.

I believe this is a rebranded chevy trailblazer. I would start with an exhaust cam actuator which is located right next to the power steering pump. 90% of the time this will fix the problem. If it does not than it is possible there is an issue with the timing chain or a PCM issue.

P0014 and p1345 codes

Hello billscranese,

The P0014 is a cam phasing code. The phasing system is a hydraulic actuated phase shifting system and is vulnerable to dirty oil. If its been sometime since your last oil change I would recommend that you start with that. The control module turns off the MIL after 3 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.

The P1345 could be caused by the P0014. The powertrain control module monitors the correlation between the crank and cam positions and if the deviation between the two exceeds a predetermined amount it will set the code.

Good luck.

Misfires are caused by loss of either spark, gas, or compression. Most likely you have lost gas. Spark is normal? Compression is probably okay. Check your fuel pressure-especially when it has stalled and won't restart.
