Sunroof not working properly - if button is touched it wont close properly. Idont want to play with it because i wont get it closed right

Sounds like the sunroof motor is out of time. Needs to be re-timed. There is a retime procedure, (that I would try first) but I don't remember the whole procedure. if you still have the problem, let me know and i will get the whole thing , from the service manual.

It sounds like the motor has gone on the sunroof mechanism, also try and get a tester to see if there is any power going through it, before you spend money on a new sunroof switch, not sure of the technical term. I hope this helped.

I had the same problem with the sunroof controls, but eliminated the erradic behavior by accident when I disconnected and reconnected the battery for another problem. Maybe this will work for you too.

Mine was doing the same thing. I took it in and watched them fix it and first they steam cleaned the area under the floor where the rollers are. Then they took a spray and lubricated the rollers and the track where the rollers are. then they cleaned the brass connectors on the side of the door where the safety pins touch. I could have saved ALOT of money doing this myself. I hope this helps!

their is a little black plastic flap that you need to pull down and then press the button again had the same problem
