Some ideas here, but the best way is to find a local auto electrician or an alarm installer, auto locksmith. Better to reprogram rather than disconnecting the battery.
Hello The engine in this cars
drive train is fully electronically controlled by a computer called
the PCM. Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a
record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to
read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with
a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform
the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s)
its an easy fix. get some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and some 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper some 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and a can of clear spray enamel. in a circular motion. use the 600 grit paper with water and rub the plastic lens until its no longer yellowish.(takes a little while) then after switch to the 800 grit, same thing-wet and in circles...repeat with 1000 grit. Clean and dry lights should be milky but clearish milky(no more yellow) Now tape and cover all areas of the light or take the lens OFF the car which-ever is easier for you. then lightly spray the clear enamel on the lens. I'll bet you'll say "Wow, looks new !" What happens is that they use a clear protective enamel on the plastic. However the plastic tends to yellow with age....you are removing that aged layer and applying a new one. I hope this helps. and i hope you no longer need to replace the bulb since it will be MUCH more bright. If the lights are still too weak, look into a possible battery or alternator issue.(not enough voltage to make the headlights shine the way they should.) 8-)
