If your brake pads are still in fine shape but the car trembles when you breaknonetheless, this could be your problem. ... Lately when I hit the brakes, the car trembles. ... In my experience if the steering wheel shakes or the front suspensionshudders when on the brakes, the front ...
Brake vibration is where a shaking motion occurs when the brakes in a car or othervehicle are deployed. This can vary from a slight shaking to a quite severe ..
Unbalenced wheels..Bad tiresBefore 80 is too slow it will shake and wave and vibrate. After it can stabilise or get worse.Last:bad motor sensors:air intake, valve timing etc. If not ruff acceleration (rpm related vibration) then is the wheels related (unbalanced,bad/defect tires, low air pressure, loose nuts...)A windy weather also shakes u well :)))Cheers.
AC compressor put load on engine causing engine shake vibrate.but check make sure AC compressor mounting bolts tight and drive belt correct tension.now if AC compressor very old most time bad compressor cause more load on engine causing shaking real bad.
Could be a wheel, tire, or axle shaft. You could rotate the tires front to back and see if the vibration moves. If it does the problem is one of the tires or wheels. If it stays in the front, its probably one of the axle shafts. It could also be a hub bearing or something loose in the suspension. But a loose suspension part would normally show up when you hit a bump rather than on a smooth road.
I have the same problem on a Prius 2013 which is new. I've had it to the dealer many times. Front tires were replaced. Tires were balanced several times. Toyota says this is normal. I had a 2008 Prius which did not have this problem. No way is this normal to have the car vibrate and shudder between 60 & 70. Above 70 it smooths out. I like to drive at 65 and that is where the vibration is the worst. I can feel it in the steering wheel, the seat and the floor. My GPS on the dash shakes back and forth
This is a common complaint on thise vehicles. There is a TSB that involves replacing motor mount brackets and adjusting and neutralizing mounts,I have done this TSB several times. It will improve the issue but not eliminate it. Basically it is a characteristic of this vehicle. At the time Ford didnt have very good luck making the 4 cyl engines run smooth. The vibration wont affect the long term durability of the engine
Tires would be the 1st place to check. If you seem to feel it more in your legs then it is likely the front, if felt more in seat bottom then could be a rear tire. Depending on how severe the vibration is there could be a tire developing a tread seperation and should be checked right away. A simple balance of the tire and wheel assemblies may be all that required also but when on a balancer they should be able to tell if the tire has a more severe problem.
Driveline components could cause vibrations also however if the above sounds like it fits then check that 1st.
the most common cause of this is the soft rubber motor mounts getting hard from heat, when this happens the normal engine vibration gets transmitted to the frame and car and the steering column, how many miles are on the car?
