Just do obe strap at a time,you can bend them down then remove one put new one up then do the other,the straps are not attached to tank just hold it up in place
You'll have to get straps either from a junk yard or the dealership. If you change one at a time, you won't have to worry too much if it drops a little. You might have a 2x4 handy to prop the edge of the tank.

after the straps are off ,it should drop a few inches about eight or so ,than you should disconnect the two lines beside the fuel filter that run to the fuel pump,than you should disconnect the third one at the fuel pump,than once complete slowly pull the tank to the passenger side of vehicle,it will take a little foce but will come,it really helps if you could get the vehicle up about a foot or more before starting and you should have more than enough room to pull tank and fuel pump out,undo the two plugs than you have to turn the locking plate counter clockwise thats on top of fuel pump to get the pump out and if taking the tank right out disconnect the main line for fuelling

Your tank sending unit is bad. Unfortunately, it is part of the fuel pump assembly, and the part costs around $400, give or take. plus installation labor. It is an all too common problem on GM vehicles, as I have had to change it on my last 2 GMs. If you do an internet search you will find plenty of others in the same boat!

I HA NO DIAGRAM BUT IS VERY EASY I THINK YOU WILL HAVE NO TROUBLE DOING IT THE TANK IS HOLDTO THE FRAME BY TWO STRAPS EACH ONE HAVE A BOLT AT THE END YOU WILL NEED A 15 mm DEEP SOCKET, SECURE TANK PRIOR TO REMOVE STRAPS SO IT WOUN'T FALL,LOWER TANK SO YOU CAN DISCONNECT ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND FUEL LINES YOU WILL NEED A DISCONNECTING TOOL FOR FUEL LINES THIS IS A VERY INEXPENSIVE TOOL JUST PUSH IT IN THE GAP OF LINE CONNECTION AND PULL LINE OUT THE PUMP IS LOCK IN THE TANK BY A LOCK RING YOU WILL NEED TO PUT PRESSURE OR TAP WITH SREW DRIVER OR CHISEL MAY BE A HAMMER AFTER YOU REMOVE THIS RING THE PUMP IS FREE JUST SLIDE OUT. TO INSTALL JUST REVERSE PROCEDURES YOU WILL NOT NEED THE DISCONNECTING TOOL AT THIS TIME. There should be an O2 sensor before and after the catalytic converter on your vehicle, so it will have 2 sensors. You'll need a 7/8" open end wrench or an O2 sensor socket to replace them.
