In the oldest of schematics... universally the battery for the
ignition switch "B" is supplied directly from the starter solenoid... goes through the start position of the ignition switch... and returns "S" to the solenoid as the ACTIVATING CURRENT...

The LINK I am attaching below SHOWS YOUR CAR ADDING a RELAY... under the control of your neutral safety switch.

Take a look at the drawings and make sure you did NOT reverse anything changing your starter.

Hope this helps.

CAUTION:
Be sure to properly IMMOBILIZE your vehicle while working here...

It can be quite enervating to have the car start ... in gear... while your head and shoulders are under the dash... pressing on the gas (personal experience... no harm done).

Post a picture , an which engine does yours have ,3.1 L or the 2.4 L could have either one .Doesn't want to start how ? When you turn the key to the start position does the engine spin ,turn or nothing ? There are no relays involved in the starting circuit of your vehicle . Are the thing's your trying to describe a 1in. square box ? If so these are relays . When does it make noise ,when you turn the key on ? The fuel pump relay will energize for a couple of seconds when the key is first turned on .

They are what I have listed above , relays ! I wouldn't worry about those making noise , don't have any thing to do with not starting . Pull two plug wires at coils ( same coil ) crank the vehicle . is there spark . you should see sparking from jumping from one coil tower to the other . If no spark it won't start .

1997 Ford Expedition. When I tried to start it it just clicked one time and that was it.

The most likely reason is that that battery is flat and doesn't have enough amps to make the starter turn the engine. There is a quick test. Turn the headlights on and stand in front of the car. Get someone else to turn the ignition key to start the car. Do the headlights dim to a yellow glow worm? Put it on a charger overnight without disconnecting the battery.

The more scientific way is to take the battery to an Interstate battery shop. They can test the battery for free in less that two minutes. They can also pulse charge the battery overnight to de-sulphate the plates. There is a small charge for this. Or sell you a new battery.

Or the starter solenoid / starter relay has failed.

How do i change fuse for the inside light for e 200 mercedes 1999 model?

The fuse box is going to be behind a concealed panel somewhere in the foot area of the front seat. (foot panel on the left or right or a cover by your left knee) Once you find that, without the manual, then you will have to do a one by one visual inspection of the fuses. If you look closely you will see a small metal strip. If the strip is broken then the fuse is bad.

My car will not start. I don't hear the relay clicking when key is in the "on" position. When the key is turned to "start" nothing happens there either. Brand new battery, checked...

Hi before you take the dashboard out check the following (if it is the starter relay they are usually
on the fuse board which will be behind a panel on the lower part of the dash or a separate fuse box
in the engine bay)
To find out if it is the starter or the starter electrical try this procedure.
Make sure the key is OFF then go to the starter ( i think its not to bad to get at )
On the starter there is a big terminal ( +cable from the battery always live )
and a small terminal which is the small wire which becomes live when you turn the key
To find out if the starter is ok simply put a screwdriver across these two terminals mommentarily
With the transmission in neautral or park if auto box
If the engine turns over then you know the starter is ok and the problem is the supply from key swicth to starter which could include a relay
Also if the car is auto box then there will be a swich on it which could be faulty
I hope i have been able to help you with this problem John ( South Wales UK )

Oil leak in front in front behind bumber mitsubishi gt 2004. it seems its leaking from an orange it looks like a coffee cup in size that's screwd on.. Was never leaking until yesterday , after i put oil...

When changing the oil it is important to wet the sealing o-ring with oil before screwing it on. Tighten the filter 3/4 turns after the seal touches the engine. Most oil filters have clear installation instructions on the box or actual filter. Look carefully , if your oil filter is leaking, Take off the leaking filter and replace it with a new one. Top up the engine oil as needed.

I just bought a new radiator fan relay.(not the one in the fuse box, the one with a heat sink) I've been told it's behind the bumber and also told right side of engine. any help on location?

This is a fan module(relay)It should be ,if you are standing in front of van,and facing motor, down to your right.Look under the van,up at the radiator, and you should see it.I think if you follow the wires from the fans,it will go right to it.If the module went out, chances are one of the fans are bad.to replace the fans order the fan assembly. If you try to replace one fan in the fan assembly, the blade will break. Then you will be stuck with a motor you bought, and need the whole assembly. If I can help, let me know.
