I had to put in a new starter and now it dont want to start and there a noise coming out of one of the boxes and i dont know if that would stop it from starting?
In the oldest of schematics... universally the battery for the
ignition switch "B" is supplied directly from the starter solenoid... goes through the start position of the ignition switch... and returns "S" to the solenoid as the ACTIVATING CURRENT...
The LINK I am attaching below SHOWS YOUR CAR ADDING a RELAY... under the control of your neutral safety switch.
Take a look at the drawings and make sure you did NOT reverse anything changing your starter.
Hope this helps.
CAUTION:
Be sure to properly IMMOBILIZE your vehicle while working here...
It can be quite enervating to have the car start ... in gear... while your head and shoulders are under the dash... pressing on the gas (personal experience... no harm done).

Post a picture , an which engine does yours have ,3.1 L or the 2.4 L could have either one .Doesn't want to start how ? When you turn the key to the start position does the engine spin ,turn or nothing ? There are no relays involved in the starting circuit of your vehicle . Are the thing's your trying to describe a 1in. square box ? If so these are relays . When does it make noise ,when you turn the key on ? The fuel pump relay will energize for a couple of seconds when the key is first turned on .
A/C Compressor Clutch Relay
Fuel Pump Relay
Cooling Fan Relay
Blower Motor Relay

Testimonial: "the engine turns over and you can smell the gas and one is making noise all the time from the time you turn the key on and yes they in 1in. square box"
They are what I have listed above , relays ! I wouldn't worry about those making noise , don't have any thing to do with not starting . Pull two plug wires at coils ( same coil ) crank the vehicle . is there spark . you should see sparking from jumping from one coil tower to the other . If no spark it won't start .
Watch this video ,same ignition system . This is a four cylinder where you mite have a six cylinder .https://youtu.be/7zjrenwlnas
how to test ignition system
ok thanks i will look at it right now if i have any more questions i will let yo know. thanks for all the help!
No problem .
Also pull spark plugs to see if wet with fuel ! fouled plugs , also if has spark check compression . ! If you have the 3.1 L V-6 engine the timing chain on these ware out an jump time .
