Sounds like you have a bad regulator. this is caused by the cables in the regulator becomming dry and start to bind up and then break causing the window to free fall down.

I assume it goes up slowly. Spray a silicone lubricant in the track. You will need to do this every winter for sure.

Where are the fuses to unlock the and windows in a vw beetle2000

The fuse block that contains the window fuses is located at the left side of the dash board. Open the door and remove the cover. There should be a diagram in your owners manual, and may be one on the inside of the cover.

VW Passat sport 2000. Wipers have stopped is it a fuse and where would i find it please.Washer is ok

Posted as a 2000 VW Beetle, but the fuse panel should be located on the side of the dash just inside the driver's door. There should also be a fiuse diagram on the fuse door panel, as well as in the back of the Owner's Manual.

Drivers side window

Buy a can of spray silicone, soak the window run channels with the spray, run the window up and down 4 or 5 times, this should cure the problem.
