Have Volvo V70 T5 1998.ABS light on speedometer not working

I would check to see if there is a fault code for a vehicle speed sensor (VSS), so you need to have the engine control system (known as the OBD2 control system)) module scanned for fault codes to see if the VSS has set a failure code.

Why doesn the digital speedometer work on my 2011 equinow

Does the transmission shift OK?.....Is the check engine lamp on???
The speedometer gets its signal from the ABS or transmission ECU..If either one of those components is not sending the signal...the check engine lamp and/or ABS lamp should be illuminated...if not...the cluster may be at fault...check your fuse assignment to ensure the speedometer does not have a fuse of its own.....A scan with a good scanner will inform you of why it is not receiving the signal....The transmission and ABS ECU's will have an output for vehicle speed.....but, as before, a GOOD scanner is required.

My 2002 dodge Durango the abs light , the brake light, and the air bag lights stay on making my air conditioner and speedometer not work.

None of those systems interact with each other, besides a communication link. The ABS and Air bag will not cause the speedo or A/C to quit working. You'll have to take it to a garage to see what has failed on each system.

1998 dodge ram 2500, speedometer does not work

Have the system scanned for fault codes, I think you may have a defective VSS (vehicle speed sensor), but don't replace it before you have the fault code test run, a defective computer and or wiring to the VSS can also cause the same problems.

Abs light came on

Hello there:
DIAGNOSTICS
When the ignition is turned on, the ABS controller receives a "wake-up" call and illuminates the warning lamps for a few seconds to check the bulbs. It also checks continuity with all four wheel-speed sensors, and checks its own internal software. If any problems are detected, a fault code is stored in memory and the ABS system is disabled.
If a hard fault is detected while the vehicle is being driven, a fault code will be stored in memory, the ABS warning lamp will come on and the ABS system will be disabled.
To diagnose the system, a scan tool is required (DRB III or equivalent). Fault codes are displayed as messages on the tool. Each message will indicate a particular circuit or component. You must then refer to the appropriate diagnostic chart in a service manual to isolate the faulty component in the circuit or confirm the fault.

Volvo abs lights stays on

Usually the ABS computer knows what it is doing. You may want someone to hookup a scanner to the ABS test port.
When I had my speedometer and odometer act up, it turned out to be a bad alternator. You might want to check yours.

2000 catera frequent speedometer not working

Hi, in ure case the abs ecu is obviously a main ecu. it sounds like you have a can communication problem where your system detects hi speed can malfunction, or interferance, measure your end of line resistance=120ohms and network nominal value should be 60ohms voltages between can hi and low should ad up to 5v , or to ground eg. can hi=2.7v then can low should measure 2.3v. if either one of these measurements dont add up you know which cercuit is at fault.

It might even be a vehicle speed /wheelspeed sensor contaminated or damaged component causing system shut down.
