Could really use your help repairing a WorkForce SportSpot WKF124HD.
The WorkForce SportSpot 1,000,000 candle model WKF124HD Locking Trigger MOMENTARY SWITCH for on / off light control has failed.
This spot light looks just like the Vector VEC124Y_Yellow?, The WorkForce casing is YELLOW. Even the Owner's manuals are the same.
Have tested all circuits, grounds, solders, battery, circuit board, momentary switch and lamp.
When pressing the MOMENTARY SWITCH, no light. When using a jumper wire to bypass the MOMENTARY SWITCH, the lamp lights.
Even the battery charger equipment works great bringing the battery up to power.
Seems, I am in need of the MOMENTARY SWITCH, to make the spot light work as it was originally built. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, MJ

You can try to find the O.E.M. part, take one from an old junked light, or find a generic switch from the hardware store and make it work. You diagnosed the problem already. You could replace it with a regular (DC) switch if you normally "lock" it on most of the time. Miniature Pushbutton Switches
You might just consider replacing it, as it seems there is risk for fire with this model. 1 000 000 Candlelight Spotlight fire

as cars run DC power the polarity doesn't matter in a solenoid unit such as door lock if it has 2 wires ( power wire and earth wire ) Just reverse the wiring and it should work
test the sensor with an ohm metr , un lug the connector mostley found at end of sensor wire, with ohm meter acrossed the t little prongs the reading should be 1,000 - 1,600 ohms
Get yourself a repair manual on ebay, they cost less than a tank of gas. If the dealer told you which part is bad, then have him order it for you, this is not going to be a parts store item. This is a really common problem, like sitting on a toaster or electric blanket that you keep outside and use every day. Anything that gets hot and cold over and over is going to get brittle and break.

I suggest you get one of those manuals people get nowadays to do it yourself.. My nephew use it to repair my car and it's totally repaired now. Here's the website he bought it from.

Sounds like your serpentine belt is dried out.Replace your belt make sure belt tensioner is ok,or you can make sure that it is your belt by using a old candle or belt dressing that you can purchase from your local parts store. While engine is running VERY carefully touch the candle to the ribbed side of the belt and let the wax rub off onto the belt the squeak or chirp should change or go away.Or just spray the belt dressing on per the directions on the can.
yes it would cause the check engine light to come on.But just find the bleeper and remove it it want affect the cencer. The bleeper is separate from the censer..
