A code P1451 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: VPWR circuit open Damaged canister vent solenoid Canister vent solenoid circuit open or shorted to ground, power, etc. Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
Verify canister vent solenoid - To verify normal functioning, monitor the EVAP canister vent solenoid signal PID EVAPCV and the signal voltage (PCM control side). With the valve open, EVAPCV indicates 0% duty cycle and a voltage approximately equal to battery voltage. When the valve is commanded fully closed, EVAPCV indicates 100% duty cycle, and a minimum voltage drop of 4 volts is normal. Output test mode may be used to switch output on/off to verify function. Replace canister vent solenoid

SOURCE: 2001 ford explorer sport, door keypad reset

How to find the Security Keyless Keypad Code on the 1995-2001 Ford Explorer or Mountaineer and how to use the Keypad functions. The factory code is also printed on a label which is installed on the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) Module. This is the module that controls the keyless entry system. It is located in the left rear quarter behind the removable panel (see photo). You will need to turn the two thumb screws counter clockwise and take the plastic panel off to be able to see the unit. A flashlight may be helpful in seeing the code. You are looking for the module and the 5 digit code on it like the one shown below.

Now that you’ve got the code I’ll tell you how to use the Keyless entry and set-up your own code.Make sure when pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad you press the middle of the buttons to ensure good contact with the controls.

Check this for Programing the Keypad.

Hope this help (remember rated this comment).

SOURCE: Motor problems

Technical Description:
EVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
The EVAP system monitors the canister vent (CV) solenoid circuit for an electrical failure.
The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum allowable calibrated parameters for a specified canister vent duty cycle by PCM command.
Symptoms: You will likely not notice any drivability problems.
Causes: A code P1451 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
*VPWR circuit open
*Damaged canister vent solenoid
*Canister vent solenoid circuit open or shorted to ground, power, etc.
*Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
*Possible SolutionsVerify canister vent solenoid - To verify normal functioning, monitor the EVAP canister vent solenoid signal PID EVAPCV and the signal voltage

My ford explorer had 12 codes to pull up, one if the codes was p1747, p1451 and p1409 and there are nine other codes. My SUV is losing power every time I press the gas pedal. So what do I need to do

that 1409 is of interest. it could be a sticking egr valve which would definitely cause a loss of power. you need to remove the valve and clean it thoroughly, and reinstall it without its vacuum hose and see how it runs then. the code is for the solenoid that controls the valve, so just removing the vacuum hose could give results but egr valves are notorious for getting stuck open. the 1747 would affect the way the transmission changes gears, but I don't know if that jives with what you are describing

I got a code p1747 electronic pressure control solonoid short circuit where is this located and will that cause my truck to throw all the shift solonoid codes

The solenoids are inside the transmission, if you are getting more than one code you may have a problem with the wiring harness going into the trans.

I had all these codes come up and i dont know what they mean. Dont think its good. P1747,P0743,P0750,.P0755 ,P0760, P0765 P1451,P0133, P0135, P0141. P0153, P0155,P0161, P1409, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0171....

looks like most of you trouble is the "oxygen sensor". it in the exhaust pipe, about $25 PLUS. Changing it may very well help most of your other code problems, I would start there, it is a simple fix, you then need to clear all codes and see what comes up after replacement. You may come out very lucky.
P01747 is transmission pressure control solenoid P01451Lack of Response From Passive Anti-Theft System Module - Engine Disabled P0743Torque Converter Clutch System Electrical failure.
Do the Oxygen Sensor first as go from there.
Good luck

Codes you get DO NOT tell you what to replace

They give you a place to start testing

You cannot do that

Testing requires special euipment
and knowledge

You need a repair shop

I have a P1747 code... sluggish transmission

Code definition is Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) Solenoid. This solenoid is located in the trans pan. Driving the explorer without getting it fixed could also wear down other parts in your transmission!
