I have a 2 sounds coming from under my car ( 2002 Lexus ES300)towards the front end, one is an almost constant clanking sound and the other is a squeal about every 10 seconds.

Hi Susie, Turn on the head lights and get someone to observe them while trying to start. If they dim during trying to start, replace the battery. Regards John

99 es300 wont enage shift at all after the trans front pump seal and internal O'ring seal of the transmission replaced.Have enough ATF fluid with no engine check light comes on and when it shift to reverse gear there is a sound buzzing for at least one second then nothing afterward. Any idea?

Lower control arm bushings and lower ball joints can cause a noise like this. But I have fixed a few that sounded like the front end was falling offf. It turned out to be the air conditioning plenum under the dash. There is a tube that comes loose some how. this tube stretches all the way across the dash. you can see part of it under the drivers side, it disappears in the center. I take a piece of thick foam and wedge it under the tube towards the center column. Most times this gets rid of the noise or most of it. No one wanted to pay to take apart the dash to fix the passenger side.

Yes, I would have to agree that it is a wheel bearing if the noise is only coming from the left side. Not uncommon on this year and model.

The repair is very long. I would take the vehicle in for repairs to lexus.

I just changed the cabin filter of my ES300. I found the instructions on the manual, under airconditioning and audio. It's pretty easy to do. I bought the filter from Kragen's for $21.95.

Clanking? Im Guessing Brakes But Please Clarify The Sound. Is It Off And On Or Continuous When Its Doing It?
