this car maker has some pretty odd locations for ECu/PCM
older cars are mostly in cab
due heat of engine and vibration there BAD.
so in the cab the first ECU were.

1: under a seat
2: under center console, (somewhere)
3: under dash (ON SOME CARS L/R AND CENTER)
4: FOOT WELL LEFT OR RIGHT KICK PANELS

AND GUESS WHAT, VARIES BY ENGINE.
3.7 THIS CASE

ECu is unique , in that it has a huge bundle of wires, more than anything else.
so when seen,its obvious.

what can i say on 1994
it's not a cable DRIVEN speedo.
i answered 2 days ago same vague question.
and will now post the same photo schematic .again.
The speed is 100% electronic.
the right wire below is power 12v
the center is ground.
the left wire is PCM speed OUTPUT.
so if the PCM has no Speed input then there will be no output
(like all computes, wrong input , wrong output.
so what is that. its the VSS sensor.
the PCM can be scanned, (ecu/ecm) did you scan it.
or do the flash codes. i bet its flashing, VSS dead. right>?
the vss is located (odometer dead)
in 1 of 3 places. (depends on your unstated drive line)
2wd, 4wd, it can be on the:
tail of transmission
tail of transfer case (4wd)
or on the rear axle pig (gear carrier top)
ever to the flash codes. code 24, DTC #24? VSS dead?
posted over 100 times.

I need to located connection from ecm to 02 wire. i cannot locate the wire for the O2 sensor. I know the 02 sensor is located on the exaust but to which wire and were is the wire it connects to? Its a 1990...

'92 Isuzu Trooper speedometer problem

Replace the speed sensor located on the transmission this sends the signal to the speedometer, you may want to check the plug and its terminals to be sure the terminals in the plug are not corroded if they are clean the terminals with electrical contact cleaner then drive the care see if cleaning the plug fixed it if not replace the speed sensor.

Where is the ECM located on a 1993 Isuzu Trooper?

If you don't have a coil pack working, unplugging the ECM will do nothing to reset the coil pack. If you have power present at the plug, you need a new coil pack.

did you unplug the battery when the work was been done allowing the car main cpu system to reset itself if not u may have to go to a dealer of your car to have them reset cuz car computer doesent know work was done
