300sd. How can I remove the armrest? - 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class

Pull the armrest vertically up. There is a slot in the armrest and a pin on the frame. You have to match these to pull the armrest off. Without a zipper it's a little more challenging. Some armrest have a little screw that keeps the armrest on the frame. The older models usually worked with the slot and pin.

I am assuming you are talking about the front center armrest here. You have to start by removing the back cover of the center console along with the vent louvres if equipped. I think this will expose two screws that you need to remove and the armrest will pull out. If you are trying to remove the armrest because the latching mechanism has gotten out of sync, you can fix that in the car. Most likely 3 screws hold the armrest lid on.Towards the back.

There are two screws on either side of the armrest. Remove with Allen wrench or Phillips head. Be sure the armrest is closed position. After removing screws lift straight up to remove the armrest. Save the screws.

on the end of the armrest should have a cap or a zipper and inside is the screw to un do the arm

sometimes yes..there are bolts and screws that hold it on..take those out and the armrest should come off..(padded part anyway..)then you can decide on a salvage part or try to put something else on it..

Armrests are part of door panel. Usually has holding screw in handle itself then pop panel off as one piece.

The armrests have covers that can be removed. Locate the zipper on the arm rest. Once you unzip it pull it toward the back of the arm rest and this will expose the one bolt that hold the armrest on. You will need a large torx and rachet to get it off. Once you take out that bolt the armrest will come right off.

there are usually two phillps or torx screws at the bottom of the armrest that you must remove then just gently pull the armrest off
