If your talking the 02 sensor, it's in the exhaust. Bank one is the bank with the number 1 cylinder and sensor 1 is the first 02 sensor.
The number 1 cylinder shows to be located in the rear bank. If you only have two 02 sensors, that would be one before the cat and one after.

SOURCE: where is the bank 2 sensor 1 located.

Oxygen sensors are always numbered like this:

Bank 1 sensor 1
Bank 2 sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 2
Bank 2 sensor 2

some manufacturers use a kind of shorthand that reads different, but means the same thing:
Sensor 1/1 or O2s 1/1
Sensor 2/1 or O2s 2/1
Sensor 1/2 or O2s 1/2
Sensor 2/2 or O2s 2/2

Bank 1 is always the side of the engine where cylinder number 1 is located and, of coarse, Bank 2 is the opposite side.
On a 4 cylinder engine, there is only 1 bank and it is always referred to as Bank 1.

Sensor 1 is always the upstream sensor (The one located BEFORE the catalytic converter)
Sensor 2 is always the downstream sensor (the one that is located AFTER the catalytic converter.

Most GM engines have #1 cylinder located on the left bank, (or Driver's Side) of the engine,

So, the answer to your question would be that you are looking for the sensor located before the catalytic converter on the right (or Passenger Side) of the truck.

There should be an O2 sensor before and after the catalytic converter on your vehicle, so it will have 2 sensors. You'll need a 7/8" open end wrench or an O2 sensor socket to replace them.

It'll look something like this: http://www.carsteering.com/data/all_images/48-01718.jpg

O2 sensors on 1998 ford windstar

1998 Ford Truck Windstar 3.8L SFI 6cyl, there are 4 oxygen sensors on the Windstars They are divided into 2 banks of 2. Bank 1 is the for the rear 3 cylinders of the engine - Bank 2 is for the front 3 cylinders. Bank 1 / Sensor 1 (upstream) is located just below, in the pipe, the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.

REMOVE TIP: you may have to bend part of the transmission heat shield out of the way - be sure to put it back when done.
Bank 1 Sensor 2 (downstream) is located just past the drivers side catalytic converter.
Bank 2 Sensor 1 (upstream) is located just below the exhaust manifold, in the pipe, at the front of the van - access is from the top.
Bank 2 Sensor 2 (downstream) sensor is located just past the passenger side catalytic converter.

NOTES: * Use lots of penetrating oil - allow to soak - to make removal easier and avoid damaging the exhaust pipe

Hope this help; TY for using Fixya (remember rated and comment this).

I ran a Diagnostic on my 1998 chevy venture mini van and here are the codes that came up, P0102, P0134. What does this mean? I have already replaced the following, fuel pressure regulator, both crankshaft...

the 2 codes are

P0134 02 Sensor Circuit no activity Detected (bank 1 sensor 1)
first check your fuses check the wiring to the sensor(the sensor is on the exhaust in front of the engine-open the hood and look down) if the fuses and the wiring look good replace the O2 sensor there are 2 types of sensors original equipment(oe) style and universal the oe style has a connector you just plug in, the universal you have to hard wire in

the 2nd code is Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input
check the wireing, make shure theres a good connections
you said that you already replaced this sensor so im going to recomend that you go after the other code first

deal with the oxygen sensor then reset the computer and see what codes come back
