Wrong keys or wrong car?. lOL
the cable release won't work if the trunk kew was in lock horizontal position. It needs to be vertical when key is removed. More penetrating fluid and try to force key rocking back and forth in and out. Use lots of wd40 or penetrating fluids and repeat. This will work. Also make sure you are using a master key only. Black top.
the latch is bad, fix it.
if a physical lever fails, its bad, gain access find cause.
what does from inside mean
a lever (bad lever, bad attachment bad cable?)
or an electrical switch. (if switch ,then its bad or wires to it bad)
Lower the back seat and crawl into the trunk and see what the latch is doing when you activate the key fob. the trunk lid will have to be open to enable any repairs. Also an emergency release cable is probably visible (yellow handle) inside the trunk and will Open the trunk lid.
yes you can no problem their but you may have to cut the back of the seat away ,the metal behind the seat i mean to get enough space to open it with a screwdriver ,what about a a pair of pliers on the remote pull cable ??
try having someone pull up on the trunk lid while pulling the lever or using the key. sounds like something may have jammed in the lock or the lock striker. this actually happens quite often.
You have a very common problem. There is a lot of dirt and corrosion in your keyway on the trunk lock. The best help I can offer you is to lube it VERY liberally with WD-40, and slide the key in and out whilst spraying and wiping off the dirt. This may help you out.
The trunk will not open
