How to tell the motor oil is filled on the dip stick

Some people have tried several methods to see the oil when it seems nearly invisible.
One is to drill really tiny holes in the dipstick , and the oil will fill the holes where it is at that level.
Check with your local Troy-bilt dealer to see if a dipstick-cap is available,

Your dip stick has a max fill line marked on to the end

yes you can still change oil with oil drained remove dip tube extract dip stick replace tube Then repair/replace dip stick, fill as per normal

Pull the drain plug, change the oil filter, replace the drain plug. Add oil until the dipstick reads full. Start the engine and make sure the oil light goes out. pop the hood and on top close to middle of the engine, theres a black plastic cap with either an oil dripper icon on it or oil written on it. pour the oil into there. easier with funnel. keep checking the oil dip stick to make sure you don't over fill it. take out the dipstick, wipe oil off with towel, fully reinsert dip stick, then immediatley take back out to see the level. the oil mark should be between fill and full marks. If you have enough oil in the motor, and the oil light is flickering on and off you might need an oil pressure sensor (take to local shop)

LOOK UNDER THE HOOD LOOK ON FRONT VALVE COVER THATS WHERE OIL FILL CAP LOCATED.YOU HAVE A OIL LEVEL DIP STICK BELOW THE FRONT VALVE COVER.LOOK ON THE OIL LEVEL DIP STICK WHEN ADDING OIL DONT OVER FILL THE FULL MARK LINE ON OIL DIP STICK THAT WHERE YOUR OIL LEVEL SHOULD BE DONT GO PASS THE FULL MARK.

Get a funnel and pour tha fluid in the dip stick tube while the motor is running . Make saure its the transmission and not the oil dip stick . Most trans dip sticks are at the back of the motor

You'll have two dip sticks under your hood on the engine. One will be for oil the other for tansmission fluid. You can tell you have the transmission because the fluid is a bright redish color where as the oil should be clearish or black, Denpending on your last oil change. The dip sticks are usually on opisit sides or the engine from eachother but could be on the same side. To check your transmission fluid then you need the emergency brake on and the car in neutral and the motor running. On the dip stick there is notches or tiny lines telling you how much is in it. Here;s a very important point to remember. Transmissipon fluid is checked and measured by pints unlike the oil dip stick which is in quarts. So the marks on the dip stick for the tranny will be one pint per mark. To add transmission fluid they sell a skinny long tube funnel that goes directly into the stem that holds the dip stick. call the dealer they will tell you right off the hop they will also tell you the color of the cap on top of the dip stick
usualy it is located on the front right side of the motor and is a yellow cap

should be near the front of the motor, twist off pull out looks like a fill cap
