It has less then 5000 miles on the motor and less then 70000 on the tranmision I haven't really got in to it yet so any ideas would be grate thank you
Standard transmission? If so, suspect a clutch issue. The tranny will most likely have to be removed to determine what has failed. Worn out clutch disk.... damaged pressure plate...... defective throw out bearing to name a few
could it bee the clutch master silinder or slave silinder
Is there resistance on the clutch pedal when you push it down? If so, the slave and master should be good. Can you see the slave cylinder push the fork when using the clutch pedal? If the fork has a good travel, the issue will be internal
the clutch pedal has no pressure on it it goes straight to the floor I had my daughter pushing up and down on the clutch and I couldn't see nothing on the slave sylinder move how hard is that to see should it be simple to see the slave move when pushing down on the clutch
You should have no problem seeing the slave cylinder move. If no resistance/pressure on the clutch pedal, possible low fluid or air in the system. Check the master cylinder for proper fluid level and add as required. If fluid level ok, there should be a bleed screw on the slave cylinder. Pump the clutch pedal several times and hold it down. Open the bleed screw and see if air or fluid comes out. If air comes out or just dribbles of fluid, you will need to continue this process until a stady stream of fluid is present. Make sure you close the bleed screw before the pedal is returned to the top position. If this procedure doesn't help, the clutch master cylinder may be bad
ok I checked the fluid and added some I did as you d said and I bleed it I was doing that for an hour but I could only get a little fluid to come out still no presher on the pedal could this still be the master or slave cylinder thanks for all the help
Sorry for the timely reply Richard. Without actually being there, my thoughts would be toward the master cylinder
ok so I'm going to replace the master and slave cylinder my buddy told me to get a rebuild kit which would be cheaper what do you think is this a good idea or should I just get the hole thing instead of rebuilding them and thank you for all the help it is very much appreciated
ok I got both master and slave out and as I was taking the slave cylinder it was pushing its self back as I losend the bolts and as that was happening I could see the fork moving now that the slave is out the fork has play in it is that normal im guessing so but I'm not a mechanic but I'm trying and again thanks for all the help and info
