The truck release does not respond to the key fob or the door release. Driver door lock does not respond to the fob or the number pad on the door.

I could use some help with these two problems. The problem with both the door and the trunk, both started at the same time.

The best place to start is take it an have it checked for DTC'S -diagnostic trouble codes ! Not with a code reader ,as these just read OBD2 codes .Not Body control module codes >

SOURCE: 2002 door locks failed ford escape

Using a multimeter, check for voltage at the lock/unlock solenoid. Disconnect the connector and probe the unlock side with the other lead on a good ground. Hit the unlock twice and see if you get voltage. If yes, the solenoid may be defective or if not, you could possibly have a bad relay. Even though you can hear the relay, that doesn't necessarily mean it's completing the circuit. My car did the same thing and I ended up replacing the relay.
The lock side check would be the same.

Hope this helps!

First push the last two buttons on the right on the keypad and see if that locks all locks. If it does not then it sound like there is an intermittent transmitter switch that has gone out, Have a friend engage - disengage until you locate the sound you describe and locate that switch, Pull it and take it to the dealership. Replace it and you should be back in business.

SOURCE: locked keys in trunk

the back seats fold down. there is a seatbelt-like ******** the side near the rear window posts that you'll find on either side, the quickest one to open will be the side with the smaller section to pull out (I believe it is the driver's side).
OR the plastic key in the glove compartment (valet key) can also be used.

On the Chevy key fob, press and hold the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons at the same time until you hear the door lock and unlock again. This means you're all set. Re-insert the programmed key back into the ignition to the "On" position to finish the Chevy key fob programming process

How do I disable the keyless entry so it cannot be used on my 05 navigator.

Fuse 20 (30 amp), passenger compartment fuse panel. See owners manual.

Remove and it will make all power locks and hatch inoperable (electrically) and you will be required to manually lock/unlock all doors and use a key to unlock the drivers door to gain entry into a locked vehicle. The hatch will not operate as it is not mechanical release as are the doors.

If you want only to disable the key pad, you will need to disconnect the pad from the smart junction box... not a task for the average owner. It may also cause a CEL/MIL indication.

If you want to test removing fuse 20, roll down the windows prior so you have access if key entry somehow fails.

You could wire a switch (30 Amp) into the fuse 20 circuit and have a selectable on/off so you have hatch release or all functions when wanted.

2002 Ford Explorer Front passenger door won't lock or unlock with fob or door controls. Every once in a while though, it will work. But that is rare. What is wrong? All the other doors work.

Door control, meaning a key or the key pad? If it is the keypad or FOB, then your problem is the lock actuator. Replace the door latch inside the door. If you have problems with the key...There are rods and/or cables that release the lock. On these there are plastic clips that hold the rods/cables to the latch and the door handles and key lock cylinder. If one breaks it will usually work. But if two break, you get the problem you have now. Too much slop. Your best bet to find them is at a salvage yard.

How can i lock my car without phob , i have no key hole

You have to have a key fob (unless your car has a number key pad on the door that allows you to put in a code). You could also posssibly hit the lock button on the inside of the door then close the door (but if you don't have a key fob you will not be able to get back in the car!).

Automatic door locks will not lock rear doors, they open fine when manually locked but will not lock with switch key fob or when put in gear.

You mean that the central locking system will not lock the rear doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.

Combination on car keypad does not open doors

Does the key pad on the door light up? Are there any tears in the key pad numbers? Does the key pad lock the doors?.
There are no fuses directly for the pad.. The key pad is linked directly to the RAP. module. If the locks work from the FOB the fuses for the Module are good. Chances are the pad is no good especially if it don't light up. The RAP module is above the driver side foot well, directly above the accelerator pedal . Hope this helps.
