Immobilizer light stays on engine won't start

Make sure the key isn't on a keyring, and if you have a spare key try holding it against the ignition barrel whilst trying to start the car. Failing that, it's an auto electrician job. China OBD2 car diagnostic tools wholesale on CareUCar

2001 hundai accent cannot unlock car doors with key. It worked on doors lastmonth. Have used lock deicer, wd-40 to no avail. Key works in ignition & trunk.

dose the key turn in the lock you could have a worn door lock where the plastic link bar on the back of the barrel gets a bit worn and just dosnt pull the link bar up enough , you realy need to remove the door pannel and really look at whats happening to the lock from inside the door checking the movement when you turn the key to unlock position you may even take up any play on the link bar to the latch lock by putting a slight bend in the bar to take up the slack

Honda civic stuck in deadlock can't open any doors as the key won't work in any of the door lock's or boot

Try having a new key cut using the key code, at a dealer, not tracing the old key.

No problem just want to know the torque specs for the valve cover bolts on a 1977 ford f250 4x4 pk. I'm changining out the gaskets and dose not she to torque specs in my manuel.

Hi,
Rocker arm cover bolts are usually torqued between 6-9 ft/lbs, or 88-105 inch lbs. A good wrist tight using a 1/4" drive socket is how I do them and have had great success like that. Always put all bolts in finger tight, then start in the middle of cover top then go to the bottom middle across working your way outward in and up down criss cross pattern. Go around the bolts twice. Most common for people to overtighten them and then the cover will leak again. They do not need to be extremely tight, just a good snug / wrist tight......Mike

My 72 beetle drives fine, but it is making a "clucking" sound when i accelerate. Any ideas?

buy the highest octane gas you can find. what you describe is valve knock due to pre ignition which is created by the lower octane gas (87 octane) I used to mix race fuel (105 octane) with 93 octane just for the heck of it, but that is totally uneccesary.

also check (or have checked)timing and timing advance at higher rpm/load(when you accelerate), very important on that little motor

make sure valves are adjusted properly too

Those motors run like a champ with frequent "tune ups" which include: point gap adjustment, timing check, timing advance check, and proper valve to rocker clearance>>>> used to be basic stuff, now it's a lost art........

good luck
