Injection problems had my injector pump done up on my 6290 put all back together and all went fine then a day later tractor stopped and is not injecting took water pump off to check injector pump was turning and it is and ideas

1989 cavalier 2.0 starts & immediately shuts off


Intermittent issues can be a pain to track. Did you check for any applicable trouble codes, before you replaced anything? Your obd 1, you should be able to check for some codes using the check engine lamp on the dash. You would use a jumper wire between terminals a & b at datalink connector under the dash. Turn key just till dash lites come on, the check engine lite starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes, your looking for two digit codes.
Before replacing the fuel pump, I would have checked proper fuel pressure. If you have tbi fuel injection, 9--13 psi, plus you can see fuel injector spray pattern. If you have mfi fuel injection, 35--38 psi.
Can you check if system is running rich or lean?
An intermittent rpm signal will drive you crazy, if that is the problem. That signal comes from distributor.

I just took my revolution sensor off and tested it. i disconnected the grond on battery. everything is back together. now car stall when you come to a stop what is the cause?

Spider injector replaced and no start


my thinking is when the engine backfired maybe one of the valves got bent and is now hitting a piston and keeping the engine from turning over or a rod may of gotten bent/broken. you could try taking all the spark plugs out than try rotating the engine backwards if it moves backwards try moving it forwards and see if it stops in the same spot if it dose than it is likely either a valve or the rod if you have something to look inside the engine throw the spark plug hole try to see if a valve is bent and try to see if all the pistons are all moving up and down the same amount. you may be able to tell if the pistons are moving by putting a rod throw the spark plug hole against the piston and trying to rotate the engine in either direction and see if the rod moves the same for all the pistons.

My 2003 chryler seabring water pump went out i changed it got the car back together when i first start it in the morning it idels fine then when it warms up at stops the idle go's to 800 rpm or st


OK. Nothing to do with water pump.
Recommend checking your IAC (Idle Air Control) circuit. This allows air to bypass the throttle body while idling, at stop sign, etc.

it is possible that the vacuum line for the transmission actuator was damaged during the head job
check for wiring harness connections not properly put back together

Check engine light and knocked off rockers


Running rough and misfiring is usually a one or more bad spark plug wires. Don't go back to that dealer. Replace the wires or have your mechanic do it for you. If you replace them, take one off at a time and install the new one. If you put the wires back on in the wrong order, it will misfire.

????1762 should be a transmission problem!!! Makes no sense at all.
Review: you had a tps code (but the engine ran well?) You changed it and it threw injector codes and ran poorly...You took it out and put the old one back (was code still there? Did it run well?) You put another new one in and now you have a transmission code? and how is it running?
Only commonality here is that the tps runs in tandem with all other sensors Make sure you clear old codes after doing any work and see what comes up after driving through a few cycles/ And get a volt/ohm meter and test the tps to see if in fact it's out of range. It somehow sounds more like a MAP sensor problem..or even a harness problem....but, test before getting anything else.

The cheapest way to go is to change the fuel filters first and the air filter. Then I would change the crankshaft sensor.

You may have to bit the bullet , and have the fuel pump changed before the fuel injection pump. The fuel pump in the tank can be loosing pressure to the fuel injectoin pump.
I think the lesser cost is the fuel tank pump vs. the fuel injection pump.

The system runs of fuel and air. No spark like on a gas engine.

So the problem can only be lack of fuel or lack of air getting into the vehicle air induction. A restriction in fuel or air will make the engine run poorly.
