Re: Changed battery for Keyless remote for 2006Lexus...
Clean the terminals where the battery makes contact and place a very small amount of die-electric grease on both sides of battery, prob has a corrosion build up on the terminals (white chalk lookin )

does your unlock button work in car? If it does, do you have another keyless entry key fob? If so does it work? If you just replaced the battery you can try removing battery and cleaning contacts within remote. I know some of the nissan altimas had the same issue and the only solution was a new key fob. Good Luck
First thing to do is check with your local Dodge dealer and see if the keyless remote is still under warranty. I had this same problem with a Dodge Durango Keyless remote. Problem was the + and - neg. connecters from battery to circuit board broke the solder connection going to the small circuit panel in the keyless remote, if this is the problem with yours, go the Radio Shack and buy a small 15watt soldering iron and solder for PC circuit boards and resolder it and it should fix the problem. If this did not fix it, the only thing to do is buy a new remote at your local Dodge dealer
You may need to reprogram them or the primary may be bad, try replacing the battery in the second controler and see if that works, if that one works then something is wrong with the first one, if the second one doesnt work after the new battery then you may need them reprogramed . if reprograming doesnt work then theres a problem with the keyless entery module, there are instrucation in your manually on how to program remotes.
lock the car and hold key over for 30 secs then press/hold unlock button on remote for 30 secs, this should reset your keyless entry/alarm/central locking.
could be, try installing a new battery on the spare remote and retry,if it still doesnt work, then reprograming will be needed, try the battery first and let me know what happens.
Disconnect the battery from your car (negative cable only) overnight. Make sure you have your radio reset code before doing so.
Then reconnect after 10 hours, and make sure you have remote handy as alarm may go off. Then if that doesnt fix it, go to driver door, then insert master key, pull up on handle first all the way and hold it. Then turn the key slowly all the way so the doors unlock and continue turning the key. This will reset the central locking system as yours may have gotton stuck. then remove key let go of handle, open door and try to lock and unlock doors from switch inside car.
Then try remote. It should work, this is what the dealer will do and charge you about $350...if it doesnt work order a new remote b/c yours may have become damaged by liquid or dropping?
