I have 2006 gmc sierra 1500 4x4 one day i lost my fan speeds one speed went out then another then another with in a week, i dont know if this is the same issue but its the i think called heater control module controls the blower speeds over time condensation builds up on it causing it to shorten out mine started smoking its on the passenger side under the glove box, you got to remove the long foot/cover i think it only had like 3 screws holding it on and it pops off under your dashboard/glove box then locate your blower and you will see a small plastic rectangle 1"x2" cover insert with a i think 4 wire plug connected to it. it has 2 screws holding this in right next to your heater/ac blower motor they go bad eventually you will loose your blower controls if this is the same issue.. also it is a recall but i dont know the service number i took mine to koons cheverlet

98 chevy blazier There is no heat coming out but the blower is working fine.

HI. PLUGGED( HEATER CORES) ARE A COMMON PROBLEM. WIITH A WARM ENGINE FEEL BOTH HEATER HOSES, IF ONE IS HOT AND THE OTHER COLD SUSPECT HEATER CORE. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT LOW ON COOLANT. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK MOTOR62500.

Heater fan has stopped blowing. Just before this happened a lound droning/whining noiuse came from front of vehicle.

From you're description I'd say the blower moter has
cooked a bearing. Check fuse #1 and #2 both are 15amp. They're in the fuse block behind the coin tray
on the lower left side of the dash. They usually go first if the bl moter locks up. To do a quick test unplug the bl moter, located behind the right side of
the dash. Turn the fan switch off and replace the fuses. Plug the blower in and turn it on, if it pop's the
fuses again replace the blower moter. Hope this helps.

Blower moter won't run blower good

replace the fan resistor located on the side of the heater box under the dash usually on the passenger side this controls the fan motor speed along with the switch itself.

How do I get to the heater fan? It runs

Yes it is possible that there is a loose connection, or the motor itself, may be grounded out..but it is located under the dash on the passenger side...behind the glove box area..

I have a 1996 Acura Integra. The blower moter will

Check all your fuses.( you probably did, but do it again, one at a time) it seems like your control pannel is not getting power. See what wire is the power for the control pannel and bypass it with a jumper wire, giving it power and see if the blower works. Be careful though, make sure you find the correct wire that powers the control, or else you'll burn the control.

What will make a blower in a car only work on high 0n a 1996 sunfire

Could be two things. Heater control..or heater switch. Or the moter is not recieving the reostat info from control. Check at heater wher wires go into it..as you change positions of switch you should see a voltage drop or increase, if u do then the moter is bad...if u do not then replace the heater control unit. :)

you may need to replace the blower motor its on the passenger side firewall and it is the only motor in that area held in by three screws and a plug
