SOURCE: 92 honda accord intermittent crank but no start/ tranny issues

I know that early 90's Honda's had problems and in fact a recall on the distributor. Might want to replace the distributor. Inside of the distributor is a part called the igniter which is the ignition module and that is what normally goes out. I cannot remember if you have to replace the whole distributor to get the igniter or if you can just replace the igniter itself. Has been a few years since I have worked on one. hope this helps but if not please contact me. I'm not sure about the drive light flashing thing though, new one on me.

SOURCE: 1995 Honda Accord will not start

First you must check to see what missing. You must have spark at the pugs and gas at the injector for this car to start. See whats missing and get back to me. The 1995 Honda Accord has a history of bad distributor. If there is no spark at the spark plugs replace distributor. However on some models the coil is separate and not in the distributor, if so make sure the coil is working.

SOURCE: honda accord key broblem

All you need to do is push the Shifter in harder into park and the key will come right out.. I had this problem once too.. The car just doesn't know it's in park because you didn't push it in far enough.

Why no crank no start

check fuses and relays --possible dead battery --loose or damaged wiring / connection--ignition key

Wont start with key, all lights work, everything comes on, but will not turn over. I replaced key or switch? ,checked all fuses, but have no power to starter fuse

can i as symptoms before all those parts changed/???????
working with out a schematic, kinda stinks, no?
this IS not a no start ,sorry its NO CRANK
is car auto or stick, both are wired different.

see the steps here.
i dont have liberty books, (dont like this car)

replaced key switch, surely not, you that is not possible if car
has SKIN IMMO system. not at home, not DIY
if you , damage SKIM, LATER WHEN CRANKING WORKS
nowwill never start. ever. (immoblized )

to crank the engine on jeeps, the start relay closes
what closes that , answer the transmission park neutral switch
try cranking in neutral yet, bingo>

no cranks are easy , see below.
no starts, vastly more complex
most these cars use permissive, start relay
the trans gives this permissive so drivers can start in gear.
and run over muffy (safety)

https://www.jeepdied.com/no-crank.html

to fix cars like this
go to mitchells (online) google it. all shops have this....
or
here,, on CD, and book.
https://www.techauthority.com/en-us/products/81-370-05060CD

if you scanned the PCM with any scan tool
cranking, guess what, it would have errors called
this is 2005 Grand cherrokee,
see this simple drawing.
pin 30 realy must be 12v, if not fuse 10 blown or
main fuse. fronting it.
pin 86 is 12v in park and neutral, if not
p/n switch bad or loss of 12v to said switch.
pin 87 is GOAL, 12v here cranks starter.
last it that pesky 85
this is the PCM, logic
0vdc here, energizes start relay
now the bad news. if all voltage pass but 85, stuck at 12v, (circle 'A")
then you must scan the PCM to find out why
it has good reasons. and will tell you.
i can name 3 but ive not clue as to the options on car , like for example remote starting option.
etc.

some MAF sensor are sensitive, some throttle bodies are never to be operated manually what is the year make and model of yours, is or was there any trouble codes . when you say car wont crank, do you mean {it wont start} or do you mean {engine does not turn} when trying key.

It cranks, but why doesn't it start?

Is there fuel in it?
Is the battery low, do you need assistance from somebody with jumper leads?
Have you dropped / damaged your keys whilst shopping? there is a chip in the key to disarm the immobilizer.
Could be any of a number of things I am afraid.
Get assistance form a competent mechanic to diagnose it

My car thinks it is being stolen 2008 Ford Fusion anti theft has disabled ignition. Tried disconnecting the battery; remote entry with ikt; using key to unlock; hit panic button and turned it off with...

Hi Eileen , How do you know your having a anti-theft system problem ? Any lights flashing when you try to crank the vehicle ? The engine does not crank over ? If it is a anti-theft system problem ,disconnecting the battery is not going to do anything except lose some learned setting's in some control modules . There are a few thing's you can check but if none of these are the problem your going to have to have it towed to the dealer ! It'll need to be checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes !
PATS disables the vehicle from starting if there is:
  • a damaged PATS key.
  • a non-programmed PATS key.
  • a non-PATS key (key has no electronics).
  • damaged wiring.
  • a damaged transceiver.
  • a damaged instrument cluster.
Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer concern.
  1. Visually inspect the following for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Large metallic objects, a second passive anti-theft system (PATS) key on the same key ring as the PATS key, or electronic devices on the key ring that can be used to purchase gasoline or similar items
  • Ignition lock cylinder
  • PATS key
  • Use of a non-PATS key or incorrect PATS key
  • More than one PATS key on key ring
  • Remote start system installed
  • Smart junction box (SJB) fuse(s):
    • 13 (7.5A)
    • 23 (7.5A)
    • 26 (7.5A)
  • Circuitry
  • PATS transceiver
  • Ignition switch
  • Instrument cluster
You may not know where some of these things are located !

Car won't crank won't start?

As long as all the battery problems are fixed, the most likely cause is a damaged key. There is a computer circuit in the head of the key. If that is damaged or you replaced the key recently the key will need to be replaced and or reprogrammed.

2006 Ford Expedtion 5.4 3V Triton cracking stalls while it's trying to start like maybe it's backfiring, plus it's caused damage to starter.

It sounds like you have a cylinder full of coolant or fuel from a faulty injector, pull the plugs and crank it over, but use extreme caution as if fuel is the issue there could be a fire.
