It may have drawn water or debris into the fuel rail or injectors . Have a fuel pressure test done on rail .

P0300 ? random misfire ? Having a qualified repair shop diagnose the problem using scan data is the proper way to diagnose , not guessing and just replacing parts .

Could be a fuel delivery problem , What are the fuel trims at ? Short and long term ? Are the O2 sensors switching normally ? What is the MAF sensor grams per second / HTZ .
Is there a vacuum leak . What's the fuel pressure ?

It may have lost its programming or it is defective, have the dealer check it out.

That depends on if you tried to run car with diesel and how far the diesel got in the system. You may need to replace all of the fuel system.

Any fault codes is the check engine light on? Is the fuel pressure ok under load?

check your inertia switch on the passenger side kick panel.It is a red switch that control fuel pump pressure.Check and see if its engaged etc.You should here the pump once you turn the key to phase two.This is a start..it the switch is not the issue, check the fuel pump fuse.

This may be a silly question but have you checked your fuel filter?
If not it may be worth a check or a change in any case (they only cost about a tenner) I'm pritty certain it is the same filter for all XType petrol Jaguar part number C2S20906 but have your local components supplier check against your VIN.
The filter is located under the car at the rear RH side door about 8-10 inches in forward of the fuel tank.

You will see a large black or silver unit with a greeny/blue buttons.
The connectors are push fit just squeeze the two blue buttons together and pull the fuel line off, on the other squeeze the grey buttons and pull the fuel line off. When replacing ensure that you note the direction of flow on the filter and fit accordingly. Once refitted switch the ignition to position 2 but do not start the engine. Wait 10 secs then turn off. Repeat this once or twice.

I had a very similar problem (did not have the abs light) but had the other lights. Changed fuel filter as the problem seemed to be a fuel pressure problem. Turbo was back and no flashing heater light, engine light will go out after about three cold to hot starts as long as no other problem exists. It's worth a try as it is a cheap and relatively easy repaire to do. If not the answer take to a garage who can interrogate the computer.
