SOURCE: 1990 Honda accord horn problem

Horn fuse should be located in the fuse box under the dash on drivers side kick panel. If fuse is good try replacing the horn itself, it might be bad due to the age of the car. They are located behind the front bumper on the left and right side.

SOURCE: 1990 honda accord - intermittently won't start

there is a relay commonly causing problems in those years hondas, related to fuel pump i believe. It is located in driver side kick panel, by left foot. My friend had same problem. Not guaranteed to be the issue but worth looking into. He could occasionally get it to start by turning the key to the on position and back off about 10-12 times quickly.

Hello ririshrusso: My name is Roger and I will help you. The fuel pump on your car is located inside of the fuel tank. You must drop the fuel tank to gain access to the pump. 1990 Accord turns over always but sometimes wont start unless clutch is pumped???

Now that is spooky. The clutch would have no connection to the engine starting, only cranking.
Its possible the fuel pump relay is failing and for some reason either waiting or the vibration of pumping the clutch is getting it to work.
The relay should be under the dash near the pedals.
I would check fuel pump voltage when it fails to start.

1990 HONDA ACCORD WON'T TURN OVER TO START BUT IT WILL ROLL START. I HAVE CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR AND TESTED THE IGNITION SWITCH STARTER RELAY SEEMS FINE CLUTCH SWITCH SEEMS FINE MAIN RELAY IS FINE

About the only thing you didn't mention was the starter itself. You could have it tested. But before that, try to see if you have power on the small wire to starter solenoid on the starter, when key is held in cranking position. Pull the small wire off and check for power with a multimeter or a testlight while someone holds the key in crank. This is the signal wire from ignition switch that closes the elec. contacts inside solenoid so the starter gets full power from the battery to spin. (This wire also is in the circuit with the clutch switch and the starter relay.) If you have power on this wire in crank, it is very likely the starter is bad. If there is no power, check that circuit out. It is losing power somewhere from switch to starter solenoid. Good luck.

My 1990 Honda Accord won't start. I just replaced

i have two things that come to mind first of which is your neutral safety switch ...its located on the clutch pedal ..its to prevent the car from being started in gear it may not be working correctly and wont let power to the started when you turn the key...most likely the problem...the other thing if thats not it you may need to check the ignition switch...

I have a 1998 accord 4cyl coupe manual trans. The

A clutch issue youtend to have more of an engagement problem with 1st and reverse gear for a small time period before you notice other gears. You want to check the clutch hydrolic system for any leaks(clutch slave at transmission, clutch master, which you look for leakage on interior above clutch pedal)and at fluid resevoir.you also want to double check condition of trans fluid. strongly recommend using only HONDA BRAND MANUAL TRANS. FLUID when doing maintinance, fluid should be replaced every 30k on this car.The Honda brand fluid is like night and day on these cars,it WILL make a difference in shifting!!TRust Me on this point! Sorry now back to your main clutch issue, when driveing and you go to shift gears and normally notice grinding, with clutch pedal in shft out of gear and before engageing it into next gear do a double pump of clutch pedal then see if when continuing to next gear if it engagees smoother.if so you know you have without a dout a clutch pressure plate/disc problem. I can tell you that in twenty years the only manual transmissions themselves that ever had problems were due to outside influences(gear oil in transmission, improper driveing, etc.)let me know what you find and we can go from there..JOEL

Air conditioner not working for honda accord 1990

This could be a number of things; The relay is bad and not getting power to the pump, or if it pumps but is not cold, then the system needs to be recharged.
Also check the clutch on the pump that the belt goes to and make sure it is engaging.
