I was told that I need a discharge sensor 2006 Mercury Milan. The AC blows but they said the sensor in the dash is not telling the AC to come on. But when I try to buy this part no one knows what that...

There are two sensors; Climate Control Sun Sensor located on the dash or rearview mirror, and an Ambient Air Temperature Sensor located by the climate control panel. I believe the one you're looking for will be the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor.
