Have Codes P1295, P2106 & P2135. How do I fix them myself?

Hyundai released a technical information bulletin regarding P2106 and that should be addressed first, if you can find it.

When the check engine light is switched on it means the closed loop system is switched off and the engine is running on the get-you-home programme.

The codes you are reading are manufacturer specific and better results are usually obtained using dealer level diagnostic equipment.

Sometimes the codes don't clear themselves after a repair. If the codes aren't erased the brain assumes the faults still exist. Throwing a new part at a problem before knowing the part is faulty is expensive, especially when the code could be caused by poor connections or wiring problems.

With regard to the P2106 and P1295, while it is true the ETC is part of the system that can trip these codes, it is only one part of the system. It also incorporates the pedal position sensors, wiring, PCM and so forth.

P2106 is throttle actuator control system-forced limited power
P2135 is throttle / padel position sensor A/B voltage correction

as for the last code well i have never seen it

sounds like fuel built up inside your exhaust before the cat then it ignites creating a bang. insuficient spark or timing...

P0101 Mass Air Flow or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance problem.

These codes indicate your accelerator position sensor has malfunctioned. The computer has gone into limp mode, which allows you to drive to safety without damaging the engine. The computer is unable to determine how far you are depressing the accelerator and doesn't want to over-rev the engine. You need a new sensor.

there is a problem with the pedal assembly which has your throttle position sensor causing the codes, dealer only part you can install yourself with some know how

these codes have to do with the corralation between the pedal and the throttle sensor module on the engine. You will need to get it doagnosed to find out what is wrong since the usual culprit cost several hundred dollars.

Code P1295,P2106 are malfunction in electronic throttle control. P2135 is a fault in throttle pedal position.It might have a crack in the intake manifold. Check with dealer for possible warranty.
