INFL rest means inflatable restraint take it in, air bags can kill you. or read the FSM like all mech do.... http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.html
The INFL REST light means the "Inflatable Restraint" .Any time the light illuminates, a code is stored within the Central Control Module (CCM). That's your Airbag light. It stands for Inflationary Restraint. It should blink 5 times then go off. If it stays on there is a problem.Get the car scanned for codes before replacing any part.At www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned to get codes.Keep updated for more queries.Thanks.
You will have to retrieve the S.I.R.codes.This will let you know where the problem is.Weather it is sensors, wiring,or the module. But you can only find out by getting the codes.Hope this helps.Good luck.
well, is there an aftermarket steering wheel on it?? cuz the original steering wheels are big and have air bags, which don't match the cars style many owners have them replaced.. infl rest stands for inflatable restraint btw
Your Infl. Rest. Light is supposed to flash 7-9 times when you turn the ignition on or when you start the engine, It should then go off. If it is constantly flashing or comes on and stays on, You have a problem with your airbags and they will not function in a crash. It is unrelated to your fuel issue.
