Hard to start the first time you start it cold and that starts great after that what is wrong

Possible bad coolant temp sensor?

check that the auto choke is properly adjusted as it indicates that the engine needs a rich mixture to start when cold.

tune up,fuel filter,air filter,clean throttle body.

Usually @ 50-60,000. New air filter, Gas filter, Plugs and wires.......If car starts running rough or hard to start and miss fire is a good sign of a tune up needed..............Hope this helps.

I would change all the fluids and either try dry gas or i would recommend that the gas tank be thoroughly drained and new gas put in the tank.If you have a hard time getting started try to use starter fluid in carburetor or if you have none just use gas. If the vehicle is equipped with fuel injectors locate air filter and follow air duct to engine that is where starter fluid or gasoline will have to be pored to prime the injectors.if it don't start the engine should be tuned up with a major tune up replace all filters ect even if it starts without tune up i would tune it up asap!

That sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

It could be the fuel filter.. If that does not help - try a full tune-up..

if the check engine light is not on?do a tune up on it,cap,rotor,plugs and wires,fuel and air filter.
