I have a 2005 Land Rover LR3 V8 and the only problem I'm having is that sometimes when I pull into park the car shut shuts off, the power is still on but the engine shuts off. I don't have a

I had a similar problem in that when the driver stopped at a set of ligjhts the engine died. ran alright every where else just when the car was stopped. The problem turned out to be a vacuum leak in the brake booster leaning out the idle when the foot was on the brakes. resulting in the engine stopping. Try parking using the hand brake and not the foot brake. It could be as simple as that.

My 1998 buick regal gs shuts off when i stop and i notice that the rpm moves back and forth

Usually when the engine is "hunting" for the idle speed, the throttle position sensor or idle air control valve is faulty, or there is gunk in the throttle body, or a vac leak somewhere.
The computer controls the idle speed by using that control valve.
Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?

When i drive my 2003 expedition there is low idling but when i come to a stop the engine will shut off. what may be the cause of that

The issue is most likely the setting at which you idle throttle is set at. When you come to a stop, your brake system takes power, and if the idle speed is too low, then the call for power will stall the engine. To fix this, look for where the throttle cable connects to the throttle body. Where it connects will be a screw that you can turn that will change the angle of the throttle plane. This is called a set screw, so be sure you are not turning a screw that holds the throttle assembly together. The screw most likely has a spring in between the head of the screw and the throttle plane. To adjust this properly, turn the engine on with the hood open. Keep the engine on and adjust the screw left or right until the RPM indicator points right above 1000 RPM. A good idle speed for a SUV is 1200 RPM.

Driving in stop and go traffic and car shuts off

Here are the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
