Stock tire sizes are ALWAYS inflated to the pressure indicated by the sticker on the door. The tire size can fit several different vehicles all with different weights and suspension setups. The max cold inflate on the tire ensures that the tire can handle all of those different vehicle pressure requirements.

Over-inflating the tires can result in a rough ride, irregular tire wear, decreased traction, and increased braking distance.

Inflate them to the sticker!

Because it is a low profile tire with a wide tread , the 30 psi is a recommended pressure for a standard size tire
however at 30 psi you will probably find that it will wear with an under inflated wear pattern and the 40 psi is used to sit the tread flat on the road
best talk with a good tire shop as they have experience and reports form a vast range of customers who talk about the pressures they run to get the best wear from the tires
the tires I run are standard and the recommended pressure is 32 psi but the make of tire actually runs best on 38 psi and that comes from the tire manufacturer

No IFS ANDS OR BUTS.........WHEEL ALIGNMENT. Also have the alignment shop check if the tires where installed properly of course ! Some tires are mounted with FOWARD TREAD ONLY !. Some tires have that feature.

00Linc ls noise from front end sounds like tire road noise steering wheel shakes a little

Wheel bearing? If you turn left and it gets louder. It is the right wheel bearing. And vice versa.

2000. P235-50R17 tires. Label in jamb specifies 30 psi. Tire rep says 40 psi. Which is correct?

Check with the service dept at the dealer, and you'll probably stick with the recommended 30psi. Sounds like the tire rep is looking at the MAX pressure stamped on the side of the tire which is wrong advice.

00Linc ls rear roaring noise new tires or could be mechanical issue

most likely a mechanical issue
if it is harmonic ( comes or goes according to acceleration or deceleration ) it will be pinion bearing failing
if it is constant but more so when going around corners it could be axle bearing on one side
if the tires are at the correct tire pressure with an average tread pattern , the chances of tires being a cause is remote

What is the recommended tire pressure on the 05 fx ? ive been running 34psi, but this winter i ran 40psi. someone told me that over inflatining caused my right front tire to wear on the center treads...

Too much air pressure (cold tire temp) when filling, will cause center tire wear. The pressure recommendations and recommended tire sizes are located on the inside driver side door panel.

I cannot locate any reset button for the tire pressure sensor anywhere, including inside the glove box. I have a 2009 Venza. Is there one? Where? Thanks!

this is newly vehicle, but other models do not have a reset button is an auto reset after you star driving, if your tire press drops below 30psi it will turn lite on, so make sure your tires are inflated at 40psi also check spare tire it may have a 4 or 5 sensor system, no look......a bad sensor may be the cost, have a tire been fix lately? take it back they broke a sensor.

Low tire pressure light won't stay off after proper reset.

Some newer Toyota vehicles have a sensor in the spare tire. Tires loose air over time naturally. I would check out the spare.
When did this TPS light start coming on?
Have you had new tires put on, or had a flat repair done before the light?
Not finding what you are looking for?
