We have a 1990 Ford aerostar minivan and the blower motor isn't working. I don't know where the resistor is or where the blower motor is located. Anyone know?

Blower motor is in dashboard. Problem could be with motor windings, bearings, fuse, relay, and switch. Check them all out.

My front air bower for my ac stopped working my rear ac works I have a 2007 grand caravan help air blower or compressor?

if you have cold air in the rear then it isn't the a/c compressor. if no air comes out of the front vents the it is either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor.

The blower does not work at any speed on my 1992 aerostar. The fuses are fine. What next to check? Thanks From Seattle

Hi, in your case, I would look at the motor first. It is accessible from the engine compartment. You may have to remove the air cleaner and/or the vacuum can to get the connector off the motor. With the connector off, use a 12 volt test light or voltmeter to check the voltage in the connector. Turn the car key on and the blower to high. If there is power at the blower connector, replace the motor. If no power at the connector, next check the resistor. The manual says the resistor is near the motor. The at least one of the motor wires will come from the resistor. The rest of the resistor wires come from the blower switch in the car. Pull the resistor out to see if it has heat damage. If yes, replace resistor. If no, replace the switch. Even if the resistor is bad, you may want to check the switch, as they sometime cause the resistor to fail again. Unfortunately the switch is integral to the coltrol panel and can only be bought as a whole control assembly. To remove the panel, pull the bezel off to expose the panel screws (see picture below).

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6234839-doesn_t_heater_or_air_conditioner_blow . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck, please get back to me.

Heater blower switch does not work

check the fuses, one might be marked heater/ac or something like that. if all your fuses are good and you still have the same problem then you will probably have to replace the blower motor. on most cars you can replace the blower motor resistor and that's the solution to the problem. for your vehicle ford has chosen to make the resistor and motor all one unit so both must be replaced at the same time. no idea what it costs but it looks like you have to take the dash apart to get to it. if you can find one at a junkyard you might be able to swap parts out and get it to work again. hope that helps

2003 Ford Explorer Fan Blower Motor

Jeff, If I understand you correctly you say your blower motor only works on high? check your blower motor resistor, located next to blower motor. The resistor makes the other speeds availiable, high bypasses the resistor, let me know if that fixes you up

Blower motor resistor & vent intake on 1990 Plymouth Acclaim

Usually passenger side down under are where wipers are mounted. If you turn heater /defrost blower on high & listen standing on passenger side, you should be able to pinpoint it easier. Look below that on firewall and good chance your resistor is in that area.
