Look for the little plastic star drive adjusters to adjust up and down. I use a very small SAE deep well socket to adjust mine 7/32" if I recall correctly. Look near the rear of the headlight assembly. That's where Trailblazers are (Same platform as Rainier), but I know the heads lights differ just a tad.
What is the proper adjustment/
Head light adjusters are part of the head light assembly and yes high and low beam are adjusted as one unit normally. Proper adjustment is done on a machine, at an equipped facility.
valves should always be adjusted with the cylinder being adjusted at top dead center(tdc). if you can rotate the motor by hand you can adjust the valves with no damage having being done.
the bulbs are pre-set in focus and if fitted correctly in the head light assembly they will be focused and adjusted correctly. Try adjusting the whole head light assembly by the 3 screws / adjusting knobs at the back of the assembly to aim the head lights correctly.
most of adjuster remove out from the bracket in side due to more moving , so you need to re- fix inside the bracket - it;s easy look inside the head light you find the adjuster bolt with ball head is remove ,loose the adjuster first then press the bracket in the re- adjusted carefully not tight too much.good luck
hi kate the vertical and the horizontal(meaning left/right) can be adjusted there are two screw adjusters if you check on top of crossmember that is above radiator/head lamps there is a hole above each head light and below tese holes you will see x/head screws one for each h/lights vertical up/down adjustment screw down raises beam and no need to adjust horizontal however ? this adjustment is best done using correct equipment and if not done correctly ? cars next mot which checking h/lights is part of test i would advise having adjst ment checked 1st b4 altering hope this helps ? best wishes from the uk
The best way to adjust it is to hook a pressure gage to the TV pressure port located on the left side of the transmission just ahead of the linkage. You want it to be a zero at idle but pressure starts moving as soon as you move the linkage.
