2004-2009 Dodge Durango DIY#1 Oil Change .... I have a 05Durango with the 4.7L, and for some reason its hard to take off the oil cap.

I had the same problem. I changed the pcv valve and checked the hose. It still did the same thing. Then I checked the metal tubing that the hose connects to and found it was full of hardened gunk. I sprayed PB Blaster into the tube let it soak for awhile. Then took an old choke cable, put it on a drill and ran it into the tube like a drain snake. It took a while of doing this over and over but eventually got it cleared out. Now, no more oil all over the engine and hood compartment.

Dealer only place to get the whole 3 piece radiator hose assembly for problem you describe. Not bad price.I know this from my experience. Trust me I searched everywhere. T-stat located where diagram that was sent. $60.00 for part

The engine breather pipe seems to be blocked.
It may also damage the oil seals.

it could be several things but with out proper diagnostic equipment its pointless to get into it, some times its best to bring it to the dealer, they work on their vehicles more than other shops and know them better as you already know your EGR was changed cost you money and its still the same.hope this helps you
Possible solution
- Retighten or replace fuel tank filler cap
- Replaced damage or leaking EVAP canister
