Your emergency flashers must be depressed in the vehicle. Its a button that has a red triangle on it, kinda a universal thing.

SOURCE: 03 Yukon denali park brake warning wont turn off

hi for info the brakes warning light on dash is also an indication that brake fluid level is low? or there may be a leak resulting in fluid level drop ? also considering age of car you may need to inspect brake pads wear ? if your car has low brake pads wear indicators attached to pads ? or the hand brake switch req's checking to ensure it is being pushed to off position when h/brak is down ? so fluid level low is the obviouse 1st check as fluid will displace from reservoir as pads wear low hence the level indicator on fill cap trips on may i suggest if it is low level b4 you top up? check your b/pads if you have not done so recently? or replaced since new ? hope this helps you locate problem best wishes from the uk

SOURCE: gmc yukon has the abs & parking brake light

you have to fix the problem with ur brakes- first check the wiring ,connectors and connection clips to the abs sensors and modulator if looks ok than have truck scanned some auto stores such as auto zone / advanced auto do it for free the code will give u a start point towards fixing ur problem--visual inspection of brakes doesnt always show problem

Why can't I take out of park?

Brake switch is bad. Check to see if you have brake lights. Brake switch is under the dash and it touches the brake arm.

Cobalt shift park

Have not seen this concern on this particular vehicle, but there are a few others that will not shift out of park if the brake lights are not operating...verify brake light operation is a quick first check I would do...

Won't start only light that came on was check engine

No that would not cause it to not start. The engine light will usually be on until the car starts. It sounds like it could be a couple things. Does the car make any noises like the starter trying to engage or solenoid clicking when you hit the key? It could be a dead battery, could be that the shifter is not pushed firmly into park, I have had to move them into gear then back to park to get it to start. Try putting it in neutral, while holding the brake pedal (preferably with parking brake set) and trying to start it (assuming it is an automatic). Do your headlights come on and if so are they as bright as usual? If so then you can most likely rule out dead battery or bad connection.

Brakes click when the peddle is pressed while on and in park

IF IT ONLY MAKES THE NOISE IN PARK THEN IT'S FINE ITS THE SWITCH THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SHIFT INTO GEAR

1993 blazer parking brake light won't shut off

Are you sure the brake light (on the dash) is on because of the parking brake ?
Try this. Watch the brake light and at the same time set your parking brake. If the light seems to get slightly brighter then it isn't on due to the parking brake it is on for another reason.
If it does not get brighter then you need to look at the parking brake switch down by the parking brake as it may be grounded out causing the light to be on.
Be sure to check the brake fluid level. If it is low on brake fluid it will turn the light on also.

Left brake light stays on

Usually when your signal blinks rapidly it indicates a blown bulb.   Switch on your four-way flashers and check your bulbs at each corner.  On the brake light staying lit, check to see if the left-rear bulb is installed correctly and is the correct bulb for the application.  I've seen people force bulbs in sockets causing the braking element of the bulb to light instead of the parking element.  The braking element is much brighter than the parking element.

Electrical issues with a 1997 Subaru Outback

I believe I can help with the clicking. The parking lights should be flashing Also. Whenever power is lost to the system IE the battery removed, The factory anti theft comes on. It is a small 4" x4" box hooked by steering column under dash. It has a red button you push for a few secounds and that should stop the clicking and flashing.

Parking brake light on 2003 1.5 dci

If the hand brake goes on and off normally and the car behaves properly without any brake binding, I think the best shot is to bring it to the Renault dealer as it might be a fault that they already know of and who knows may be there is a factory recall on these and you could end up paying peanuts for the fix..
Cheers and good luck
