Breaks coming on at higher speeds

So you were rolling on the freeway (correct) were you in rush hour traffic.... was there a car in front of you where you had to slow down or were you changing lanes.... Do think you might have accidentally applied the brakes thinking it was the gas pedal

When you say breaks do you mean front wheels when driving? Or do you mean that when you apply the breaks at fast speeds the car vibrates. If it is the first, then your alignment is most likely off. If it is the second then you could have a caliper sticking or need your rotors resurfaced because they could have warped.

Have youchecked the speed sensors on your front tires. Are your brake pads good? Did your caliper come lose?

is there a rattle under the car like the cat converter is bad when was the fuel filter last replaced

garages, but not all of them will put on the cheapest pads that they can find and charge a premium price. I did this once! because the boss told me too. the car came back for rattling and squealing. I replaced the pads with the premium ones and they never returned with this problem. from then on I only used premium pads.

check the air filter

Throw in some racing fuel to clean out your injectors or even run your gas all the way out and throw in injector cleaner with supreme gas then run that tank empty before filling up again.

Drive slowly down the middle of a straight road, let the steering wheel go and apply the brakes. If the car wants to turn by itself check your ball joints and shocks. If the car remains straight you may have an irregular wearing tire which causes it wonder at higher speeds.

Well even though you had the rotors turned, they still could be warped and causing the car to shake at a high rate of speed when the brakes are applied. My suggestion is to replace the rotors asap.
