Coil busts whenever I start an isuzu kb 250

Your car is not a Rodeo is it? KB is in like africa or Australia.
and is KB or Bakkie..
our Rodeos have 2.2..and 3.2/3.5 engine here.
COIL (ignition coil ) are there 4? my guess, is 4. COPS
or injector coil, yes, it has one too...

what does it mean? please be clear.

we dont have this engine here, nor engine..
2.5L gas (petrol)
ill guess you mean one of the COP coils keeps burning out.
not bust, the primary burns open circuit
that means the Ignitor for that coil is shorted,
most newer cars that be inside the ECU.
our 2.2l has a single 2 coil pack, wasted spark design.
other countries use 4 cops. (not posting a photo of your coil
make for bad helpers and guessing,) why do that.?

the coil is run with a very high current and very short dwell
on all modern engines
but if the ignitor shorts the dwell is now INFINITY and all coils burn up like that.
all do.
but you never stated what bust, the primary side or secondary side.

define bust first
and show photos of your coil, we dont have 2.5 here.

Wonder if the spark plug is shorted (bad)? or something wrong with the spark plug wire.
